I'm just curious as to what others do. Do you use it all on one stat or try and even it out...is there even a good way to spend it, considering the prices go up with each tier? (is it tier or level? I can never tell)
Dont know if its right or wrong, but i usually use all of mine for str/hp
I've always used it from HP, but like I said I was just wondering what others do...
Im kinda second guessing and wondering if i should start putting it into speed, because my points are kinda lopsidded now
Level: 633 Health: 1709 / 1709 Strength: 1706 Defense: 1580 Speed: 1468 Intelligence: 1673
i feel like the trainer is going to be training in speed forever
Your stats are higher than mine...I've been training a lot in speed lately....same with defense...
I put all my EXP into health, and use my training and battle tokens to get a little strength boost here and there.
I personally stopped training evenly at 1200 stats each. Since then I used my exp on strength, but I switched to health like a month ago. I can defeat a lot of enemies that I couldn't with 2000 even stats, so concentrating on health wouldn't be a mistake imo.
I guess it's also depends on what kind of build you're going for. There are battlers out there who train evenly until they cap and they can defeat every opponent eventually as well.
At the moment I spend mine on roughly 80% str/def and 20% speed. I've been avoiding buying health (apart from when I need a quick boost) and training it instead since it costs more exp than other stats yet train times are equal across all stats. And at T9 it's still fairly fast to train for it! Levels I tend to buy with exp but tbh, considering stat boosters give way too many levels for my liking, I haven't needed to for awhile XD For my lower tier pets I have different priorities though.
I just find it so hard to know what to do sometimes. My pet just reached Tier 9. While I've always done some battling, I've only just gotten into it
My battle pet's current stats are:
Strength: 1360 Defense: 1325 Health: 1472/1472 Speed: 1311
You can't really do anything wrong if you just continue training and doing your BQs. ^-^ I personally rather have like 10 HP per day than 15 STG. You know, at one point it's not a big difference whether you can do 1300 damage or 1500 damage, but rather how much you can endure and heal with your weapons and whether you can take a critical hit or not. I think a good set of weapon is always a priority to stats and builds.
You can easily train to 3k or 5k stats even without having to really think about your build too much, but at the same time it doesn't hurt to have set goals early on.
I don't think there's any wrong way to use your exp (except level... boost that instead)
it really depends what build you want and what stat you're currently trying to build up.
I like to hoard my experience and then dump it into all my stats when I get to around 500k exp or so. I will favor health first and then put the rest into the other stats. I like to see the boost jump and it motivates me to battle and train more rather than use exp everyday and see the stat gain little by little.
I agree with Riedy (and everyone else) that hp is probably one of the most important stats! You can't win a battle if you get KO'd in one hit after all ;P For me, the reasons I choose the other stats over hp is because I have weapons that scale with non-hp stats, and I'd also like to have my pet as a high hitter for when the next boss battle comes around (so I can hit more damage in less time). Like everyone's been saying, there's no right or wrong way to use exp! I guess if you're just looking for a standard build you could focus on health with strength as a secondary focus? But you can always change the way you spend it if you decide you want a different build later on!
Thanks everyone for your tips and advice. I think another reason why I struggle with what to do, is the fact that sometimes it feels like it takes forever to save up all that EXP!
Level: 220 Health: 512 / 512 Strength: 500 Defense: 500 Speed: 501
My stats so far. I am very new here and have been spending my experience across all my stats to keep things even. Is that a good plan? And if someone reads this could you let me know what stat boosts are? Can I buy them???

Raising an even pet can be useful because each stat serves a purpose, but at a certain point I personally prefer to indulge in HP/Strength and use general boosters to keep the others rising as possible. Health obviously allows you to last longer in a battle. Strength allows you to deal out more damage per icon your weapons and scrolls(and blessings and curses) do for that turn. Defense helps to block the damage from your opponent's icons per turn. And speed influences your and your opponent's critical hit rate.
Another stat that is important to raise is intelligence. It looks like you've raised your battle pet's int through books right? Boosting intelligence is generally the best way instead of relying on books alone, as every 16th int you gain you would normally gain an alchemy point - but if you bypass that next 16th point via boosting you can read a book later and gain the equivalent backlogged AP. IMO the best all-around boosters are the Tomes you can get from turning in Mage Amulets to the Mage in Shadowglen, as they give at least one and at most three of all stats including intelligence though also level.
You can find the list of boosters here. And if you haven't already I recommend also reading this guide to battling.
Wow do I have a lot of reading to do. I did trade in some of my amulets. I have dozens. I got two tomes and used them. Sweet. I have never used any scrolls or other items in battling. I really do not understand how they work. More reading. I really appreciate your help Judy
