Anyone who understands this game (winning 100 times will be impossible without understanding how to win....)
Can anyone answer these questions for me?

PLUS: if the mahar is also an enemy, where are my health points? and how do we tie while we both ahve points?
The left markers on the monster in the middle are the health of that monster. I got it backwards is right. The monster is summoned, so the markers on the right of that card measure how many turns it has left before it spontaneously poofs back into the ether the Maze summoned it from.
Bad guy=you. You are the bad guy, the Mahar who is raiding the Maze, who innocently wants to retain its life and treasure.
Yes, that's your health. The blue markers just like it in the UR belong to the Maze. That's right even though the Maze is a thing, you are such a badass you can kill it real good.
What these? They are ... small violet one---- shows how much HP the Guardian currently has. 2 small green ones---- denotes the amount of turns the Guardian has left in play. My health question is Yes...that's your health..you start with 30 Hit points and 30 cards too. Go to the rules page for the best answers. :).............https://subeta.net/games/mazes_mahars/?act=rules
Thanks for asking this question and thanks to for providing an answer I can use!
The trick to tying is that you need to have a curse card that will do damage to you at the end of your turn eg. a Blood/Blades curse, you must have less HP than the curse does per round, eg. a curse that does 2 HP damage per round, and you have 1-2 HP
At the same turn, you must damage the lock enough to make it 0 HP.
There are probably other ways to get a tie too, but I can't really think of one right now.
It is quite difficult to get the tie, I have played well over 100 games but I do not have the achievement, because the timing is kind of tricky.

The achievement is certainly an achievement, it does take a lot of time for not very much sP reward unfortunately.

I love this game, if only it didn't take so long to play - or the reward for playing was commensurate with the time invested!
There are several glitches in the game. It doesn't make it unplayable, or anything, but sometimes the cards just don't do what they claim. And sometimes the lock plays three cards where its only allowed 2.
The biggest bug, as far as I'm concerned is playing duplicate cards. For example, if you play the healing card that lasts for 2 turns, then the next round you play the same card, you don't get the effect of the second healing card, and both cards will disappear on the next turn, when only the first card should go.
Like said, getting a tie is very, very hard. I tried to get a tie several times and just ended up losing the game. I did eventually get that achievement, but only by playing to win every time and getting "lucky" enough to tie.
I usually ignore the guardian and concentrate on the lock, so any damage card that allows you to choose between the lock and the guardian, I pick the lock every time.

Thanks. I usually change my HA daily, but I'm really enjoying this one so I'm going to keep it another day.
The quote is from an old TV show I still love and re-watch regularly, Babylon 5.

you are welcome. is mostly right about going for the Maze, IMO. The sP reward is small, but it does exist. If it really doesn't matter if you hit the summoned monster or the maze itself (for instance, sometimes the Maze has healing going and you have lots of only weak attack cards, or it has such high plus defense that you can't punch through) choose the monster, because the more damage you do and the more of them you defeat the more sP you get. Since you are playing anyways.
This is really a strategy game and it really depends on which cards you are randomly dealt. Another thing I remember is if the maze is playing a lot of traps in the beginning, the chance of it playing poison cards and doing bleed damage is rare during the second half so keep that in mind when using health cards. It has one particularly nasty card that deals damage for 8 turns but it only has one or two of these. Again, if it doesn't use it in the beginning, then it is definitely using it once it's beyond half its health points. The only glitch I've experienced is the maze being cheap and having three cards active instead of two but that could have changed. Some guardians are worth stunning and leaving in play so the maze can't play stronger guardians.
Good to see all this information! Thanks Judy for asking about it, glad you got your answers. And thank everyone for all this info! I've gotten as close as one HP left when I beat the maze v_v SO CLOSE to a tie! I've never gotten that close again and have stopped playing :/ I also never paid close enough attention to notice any glitches :/ but I'm an oblivious sort :/
