Hello, I am looking for some help in pricing my artwork, I recently returned to subeta, as such I'd like to start selling my work in hopes of making cool custom clothes amongst other things. c:

examples < deviantART instagram

Looking for pricing in usd [I have an idea, but idk how subeta users feel on spending rl money ] & any other subeta currency

Also since I am rather new it would help a bit if you explained the currency, thanks so much! vivi ?

Perfect! You did what I was about to suggest on your other board. So currently you are allowed to sell on subeta for 3 types of currency.

  • CSC which are Cash Shop Credits and the currency bought with real life money, it is used for buying custom wearables that I know you want to be a part of. (I however can't help you at all in that department but should be able to.
  • sP or subeta points which is game currency as well but can be made through quests and selling stuff .etc.
  • Real life money so in your case USD. Note that this is usually done via Paypal.

In terms of selling your artwork first what do you want to sell? There are tons of examples and different styles .etc have different price ranges. So you can either offer it all or do sections. I see pixels, quads, sketches, chibis, humans .etc. You as an artist can actually limit it to things you like to do.

For high quality art which you definitely have users spending rl money won't be an issue (I do it all the time). When you have a selling board you must have at least a slot for a site currency so CSC or SP. In general though it is nice to have the three so everyone gets a chance to afford art. The going rate across the currencies varies. 1 $ = 100 CSC however if you are more inclined to get paid usd you could fo 1$ = 150 csc or something. CSC to sP rates are flucating and do greatly around thanksgiving for the black friday sale and luminaire or subeta christmas so to speak.

Human/Antro Characters or Quads as well? I think 10$ is a reasonable starting price but note you could probably increase it in the near future. My suggestion for artists is always do a freebie board to get some interest. Phrase it that you are new to the site and are looking to create some examples for a new art shop. You also need to create a ping group for your art. Click Here to create a ping group. Artists do this so potential users can join and you can ping them whenever you have slots open. Most artists do like part of their username and art in the tag name. So example or something. Once you do some examples and get some people to join your ping group you make a selling board. List links or images to show of your work and list prices. Again you have to have at least a slot for CSC/SP.
