I've had it in my battleset for several tiers now and I'm wondering past tier 5/6 do I still need it or should I replace it at this point?

it probably depends on what else you have, I'm sure you could leave it in your set without any problem but if you need room in your set for something else, that'd probably be one of the first things you take out

I like this guide, but it's not really updated with newer things. it does have it still in t7 sets, so I don't think replacing it asap is really a big deal.
if I were you, the best thing in t6 which can be used for the next few tiers is , though it can be sorta pricey. usually I wouldn't suggest spending so much in the middle tiers, but it's useful for a few tiers and really good :)
have you tried a recycle blaster in your set? it's one of those things that isn't obviously useful, but for some battles, getting lucky and blasting the right thing is immensely useful. I'm honestly not sure if blasting is very beneficial in middle tiers, but at higher tiers there are quite a few battles where blasting gives you a huge advantage.

no problem! I believe I've seen people use the reborn icewand into tier 10, so you can use it for awhile, at least until tier 8 or 9.
things like that are great too, but are quite expensive in the antique shop. somas are like a fancy recycle blaster - but you can use them both so that's good to have. you can use as a second blaster the hand blaster blasts into something that does more icons and is once per battle, the somas blast their item into something that does like two icons but is infinite use (which is good!) the reviver of the lion is a 90% healer that you can use along side your phoenix quill :) they're both things for your wishlist too.
[edit] somas also have a freeze proc, a small steal proc, and a random curse/blessing on it too :)
