Okay so I got really excited to see that Pylot is back for a little bit. I've been wanting the for a SUPER long time. That means that I'd have to go up against Pylot the Peeved. Unfortunately, my pet is not a battling pet. So I came here hoping to get some tips on training my pet super speedy fast or to see if doing something like that is even possible. If that's the case then I'm totally outta luck. Things like, which stat should I level up to have a chance against peeved pylot; what tier do you think my pet should be, etc. Any and all tips are highly appreciated! Thanks :D

super speedy? dump a bunch of sP into stat boosters. it would be cheaper just to buy the weapon.

Your tier gets higher based on your pet's total stats (well, a sum of Health, Strength, Defense, and Speed) according to the following stages:
Tier 1: 40-299 Total Stats (approx. Levels 1-30 and 10-74 in each stat) Tier 2: 300-599 Total Stats (approx. Levels 30-60 and 75-149 in each stat) Tier 3: 600-1199 Total Stats (approx. Levels 60-120 and 150-299 in each stat) Tier 4: 1200-1799 Total Stats (approx. Levels 120-180 and 300-449 in each stat) Tier 5: 1800-2599 Total Stats (approx. Levels 180-260 and 450-649 in each stat) Tier 6: 2600-3399 Total Stats (approx. Levels 260-340 and 650-849 in each stat) Tier 7: 3400-4399 Total Stats (approx. Levels 340-440 and 850-1099 in each stat)
Tier 8: 4400-5399 Total Stats (approx. Levels 440-540 and 1100-1349 in each stat) Tier 9: 5400-6399 Total Stats (approx. Levels 540-640 and 1350-1599 in each stat) Tier 10: 6400-7999 Total Stats (approx. Levels 640-800 and 1600-1999 in each stat) Tier 11: 8000-11999 Total Stats (approx. Levels 800-1200 and 2000-2999 in each stat) Tier 12: 12000-21999 Total Stats (approx. Levels 1200-2200 and 3000-5499 in each stat) Tier 13: 22000+ Total Stats (approx. Levels 2200-3500 and 5500-8750 in each stat)
(This comes directly from this thread, which is a lengthy but invaluable reference guide for battling.)
A rule of thumb I used when I first started battling was to look at an opponent's speed, figure out what tier that would put the opponent in, and then that's the minimum tier you might need to defeat that opponent. For example, Pylot, the Peeved, has 500 Speed, which would mean you would need a T5 pet to defeat him. Of course, that's not an exact science by any means, but it helps give you a slight estimate of where you need to be vs. where you are.
As for training quickly, battle quests are your best bet. Especially at lower levels, buying stat points (with the EXP earned from battling/BQs) is really efficient. Boosting (ie. using stat boosters like Tomes) is incredibly expensive, and isn't really worth it until the higher tiers.
If you're looking to get the loot from Pylot, the Peeved, try training steadily for a month (the entire time the pylots will be available in the BC). You might find yourself surprised at the end of 4 weeks - a steady stream of BQs and training sessions can get you far, especially when you're just starting out!
I also suggest auto training at lower levels, if you can spare the CSC, since the turnover rate at the training center is really high, and it isn't really feasible to put your pet(s) into training every 51 minutes.
Let me know if you have any more questions! I'm a bit rusty when it comes to battling but I hope that I covered the basics ^-^
The quickest way to train your pet is through autotraining at the training center and through boosters later on. Boosting now would be super expensive and pointless. Auto training will cost you extra sP and csc but I've seen pets go from T1 to like T5 after one month of auto training. Do battle quests daily to gain experience and use that to raise your stats. I would honestly stay away from boosters now and buy the quiver from shops if you don't manage to get the wins.
