This guide covers everything from layout ideation/creation to coding the profile itself, and you're able to see the layout and code in action. There are some things this guide doesn't cover, but I tried to cover all of the basics!

this is awesome and super helpful! i'm sure a lot of people who want to get into profile making but aren't sure how will love this. i love the interactive element of seeing the profile come together as you progress, too :)

Thanks so much for the guide! ^__^ I do need a little help figuring out a profile if you don't mind! I'm working on Luau's profile and I think I have everything placed where I want them. The only thing I can't figure out is how to add a white column down the center behind the pet image/story/treasure. Do you know how I can code that?

the way i usually do it is set the background color of the div to white (or whatever color i want) and set it to the proper width, then use relative positioning on everything else to line up. however, if you don't want to re-position everything, you could always just make a new div with the correct dimensions and position, then add "z-index:2" to everything besides the new div. so for instance,

{position:absolute; top:0; left:280px; height:100%; width:500px; background:; z-index:1}

I was traveling, so sorry I didn't get around to responding until today! Looks like someone already swooped in and took care of ya, but I'd personally just add a new div behind it, like Frenchi suggested! 8)

i've been thinking about revamping Character for awhile now, and spring break is coming up! I might work on revamping them in my free time. I know some of you are familiar with the guide, so I was wondering: Is there anything you'd like to see added to or changed with the guide? I worry that the guide is a little on the wordy side, so I wonder if it might be beneficial to cut down on the explanations. Or do you find those helpful?

Some things I'm thinking about changing:

• Wider Text Area!
• Less Words?
• Adding a "Need Help" link to this thread for additional questions
• Navigation? I aint got a clue where to put it, but it might be help to have quick links to specific sections

Let me know what you think and what you'd like to see! I'd like Character to be as beneficial as possible!

I know that .hustler is the tag (or whatever you call it) for the hustler bar at the top, but do you know the one to get rid of the news bar and/or those blue announcement bars?
