So... Things are like this... I HAVE TO GET RID OF MY ANIME STYLE IF IF WANT TO ENTER CALARTS! (The most. amazing. insitute of art. ever) (at last for me haha)

Hopefully you can build up the right portfolio for CalArts! Also you should check out LCAD (further down in SoCal) if you haven't yet applied - they're an amazing college right in Laguna Beach (which is a very art-friendly seaside town)! A friend of mine went there after spending a semester at CalArts :)

Well I've heard a lot of good things about CalArts. :P So keep working on that style of yours and practice-practice-practice. Personally I found that I first started breaking out of my anime style when I tried making comics though, because if you draw a lot of little panels in different context, different positions then you'll soon sort of settle on your own shortcuts to get what you want to depict across. LOTS of live drawing helps as well. If you can make a realistic human from a reference then you're pretty much at the right place when it comes to developing your own style. Not sure what your current art education level is though, so that advice could've been useless.
Not sure if all the slots are full but I'll throw mine in anyway. XD If you don't like them or can't do them then don't.

Matlal (unrelated to the Subeta one!) TL:DR he is the leader of a group of aztec settlers arriving in Northern Scotland for an alternative history roleplay. You can have artistic licence with his outfit if you like, or just draw him in one of the existing ones. It also bears mentioning that he's muscular as heck.

Okay! I have a description for you! I'd be very pleased if you pick my little centaur. The only thing I ask is not to draw any male bits. Preferably. Another thing is, Niall doesn't wear clothes so you don't have to worry about any of those or accessories. Unless you'd like to. It is also okay to give him a feminine flair.
Reference for his ears and curliness of his fur This is the range of how dark he is, it is okay to go a shade lighter but not any darker
<p>The human part of the boy is tan with dark freckles along his cheeks, shoulders and some on the back of his shoulders. He has really long curly hair that goes just past his human shoulders and if one was to get it wet and allow it to drape the tips of his hair would brush against his equine shoulders; only to dry slowly and become curly again. Protruding from his head in place of human ears are little pony ears, here the curly fur is prominent as well going as far as getting into his long ears and creating an interesting hearing tunnel of fur. Niall is very slender, despite his curvy horse body, his upper body doesn&;t get as much of a work out. Making him appear in what many might say, meek. Niall is self-conscious of his figure and a lot more. Niall does his best to step lightly wherever he goes, especially on smooth floors. Coffee brown eyes often stare in wonder at many curious things, like stars and other solar miracles. A cute button nose and plush, soft, lips accentuate his face.
