I've eyed down the autotrainer feature for a while, and while 25 CSC does not sound like a lot, it adds up at a decent rate, especially when prepping more than one pet for battle.
If the numbers show that there could be a tiny bit more interest in it, perhaps cut the price in CSC a bit or alter the numbers slightly. I know I'd use the damned thing daily if it were 10CSC. 25 just seems a tad too much, and a lesser, casual cost may promote more people using it (and indirectly/directly giving the chance of a sliiightly bit higher frequency of CSC purchases).
After hearing about the crisis in the excess of Wizard Tokens (despite me always wanting to buy the damned things), why not utilize them as an alternate means to pay for the trainer, boost the time, or... well... anything. Though on this one, something rather subtle that will not blow the demand for Wiz Tokens out of proportion.
A lot of people use it for new pets I think, it's a lot more worth it than for stronger pets. For my main pet, I hate that it's even an option. He gets one session for autotraining, so there's nothing auto about it. I definitely wouldn't mind changing it to tokens though I'm not sure if it will be changed.
Thats the thing. It only seems feasible for lower tier pets to get any worth while grinds out of it. There needs to be a way to span it out if CSC is involved. Perhaps a scaling system thats impactful no matter the tier, like a % boost or something. Does not have to be particularly big, but something to make such an option actually usable no matter who it is clicking that button.
Autotraining is not meant to be a permanent option for people. It's there as a crutch, but past a certain point (hi ), it's not something that you should use anymore. It's just to kickstart your training, and up to tier 7-8, it's good. But, when you hit tier 9, you don't need the site to do this for you, you can just go and do this on your own.
I haven't used it in years. I wish it would be disabled once you get 1 training session, but I could probably customcss that one away if I cared enough.
little known fact: autotraining has a higher chance of 2-3 stats per session than regular training. the chance for 3 is significantly higher than in regular training.
I use the living crap out of the autotrainer still, because I'm trying to push up the rest of my team (who are ALL well below the 'waste of money' stage). I know tons of people that still use it on a near-daily basis, for multiple pets. Sure, the cost adds up, but I feel that it's justified.
I really don't think there's any issue with the price, and I don't think it needs to be altered in any way - you're paying for a convenient service that literally trains your pet(s) for you while you contribute nothing. (Plus it's only like 2.5mil per pet per day...)

I don't use it because I have an issue with spending CSC on training that I could do myself, even if the rates of training go up with autotrainer.
I used it for a while back when CSC wasn't so expensive, I don't find it a decent trade off now. But as Shibito mentions, there are folks who do use it on the daily still, so I guess it's fine?
That said I would ADORE an (even absurdly expensive) way to pay for autotraining with Wizard Tokens.
I use it for any new pet I get until i start dying on the inside from spending csc. right now I've still got one pet in daily autotraining and as soon as I come up with a darn name I'll have a second.
I think the problem with trying to implement Wizard Tokens into the autotraining feature is that it's going to drive the overall price of Tokens through the roof, because people will (originally, at least) see them as more accessible than CSC.
I think it would be more worthwhile to brainstorm a way to steadily bring the cost of CSC back down to a more reasonable level.

I use it, but I'm still in the "I have no idea what I'm doing" stages of training and battling and whatnot. I'm a dog chasing cars. I do adore that I've still got three or four levels to go before I'm throwing money away for nothing. I guess, at that point, I'll have to find something else to spend CSC on. Probably CWs I'll never use or something dumb.
I tell you - the solution to deflate CSC is to make a new currency for CWs only
However, Speiro will shank me if he hears me talking about more currencies
Oh good, I won't get in trouble then :p
I don't support giving an alterative to CSC features, if the CSC cost is going to stick around too (so like changing extra layers in the wardrobe from CSC to sP only is fine imo, but if there was an sP option AND CSC option then that's no bueno).
I'm indifferent about dropping the cost; I don't find it necessary since it seems to get plenty of use as is, but I also don't train at all anymore so what the fuck do I know
something like CWC versus the CSC?
Hm. That's an interesting idea.
[edit]
Sorry, I totally derailed there XD
Autotraining is (was?) pretty nifty when you get a brand new pet and you want to give them a solid base. Not sure how viable that is now with the current cost of CSC. When you have a larger pet, it's pretty much a waste because you can time training to when you'll be able to return and put the pet back in.
Using Wizard Tokens to decrease time, cost, something like that would certainly be a sink of tokens. But GA users already get decreased training time. As for cost, I doubt staff is looking to decrease a guaranteed, constant sp sink, probably not even a little bit.
All of my littles are AT'd until they hit ~700 - 900 evens. 10 csc seems way too low for the amount of stats you can get autotraining a lower level pet. 25 csc is pretty fair for what you get imo, so no support for a price cut or currency change.
For a lower tier pet, autotraining gives you a good 24 sessions of stats so it's worth it. I auto train the battle pet I have mostly using auto-training but he's also a lower tier status battle pet. His stats aren't super high, but auto training takes away from me constantly having to come back every hour to stat train him though.
Once it gets to the higher tier battle pets though it just isn't really worth it though.
I use it and still do, the cost to me, is fair as it is. What I would like is the sp to csc rate to drop.

It won't happen, unless something makes CSC less useful.
Aware of that, but still want that though.
