Hi there! New user here. My SO played this game many years ago, and learning that I enjoy pet websites a lot, they introduced me to it. What can I say, r.i.p. my entire weekend.

I don't think I have any questions so far, as said, I played similiar games before. About me, I am female, 20 years old and come from Germany. I am also really horrible at introducing myself, so, uh, just ask if you want to know anything more.

Seven years is an incredibly long hiatus! I know that I was disorientated after being gone for a year, so I guess you'll both be discovering the website. It's a very sweet thought that you'll be doing it together. I hope that your significant other isn't disappointed by some of the changes and that they stumble upon something that makes them go !!!!!

I have some questions for you, if you want something to answer, hehe. What are the similar games that you've played? (I'm assuming that Neopets is one of them?) What's your favourite thing about Subeta so far? Is there anything that's surprised you? What are some of your hobbies? If you like writing or drawing, I know that the forums for art are fairly active, so hopefully you can extend your network there.

To your questions:

Neopets was indeed one of them (I was not sure if it is allowed to name other games directly, you see, Neopets had some very strict rules in that direction). My NP account is about 7 years old I think, and I enjoyed it a long time, but in the end, it has developed in a direction where I do not enjoy it as much anymore. I also remember having played a game like this that was Pokemon-themed, but I can not remember the name and I couldn't find it via google, perhaps it doesn't exist anymore, I have not played it for years.

So far, I like about this game are the Pets, I really like the designs, each of them has a very unique feeling, I think, and the colours are very well designed. It also feels a lot less grindy than NP does(it still feels like you have to work for accomplishing something, but not in a 'grind daily for a year to afford 1 pet' way). Also, I like that there are a lot of ways to get money on this site (quests, games, and I also saw that it is allowed to sell art etc.) - and not only the games. I personally like restocking a lot. As for hobbies, I am pretty passionate about videogames - currently mostly League of Legends and Overwatch, while eagerly awaiting Civilization 6 and Pokemon Sun/Moon. I also like writing, but since I can write a lot better in my native language (German) I'm not sure if I'll start writing here. That's pretty much the only hobbies I have to be honest, since I'm also at university and working a part-time job.

You're allowed to discuss other websites, but I think that slander or promotion aren't allowed. I see other websites being spoken about all the time, so I think that a civil discussion is fine. For me, personally, Neopets grew too commercial and the gaudiness that I probably loved as a kid is now just gaudy. Subeta has always been more refined and I love it for it. Less yellow. I'm interested in this Pokemon game that you mentioned. It's a shame you can't remember, but that's alright. :)

The pets certainly are gorgeous. Even in their newest revamps, they still have the same features that they've always had, which is nice. If I hadn't played Subeta for nine years and came back, I'd still be able to name all of the original species, I reckon. The sP system is also really great! Doing all of the quests, you can make around 5mil. If you utilise everything, I think you could easily make 10mil+. It's very easy and I think quite welcoming for new users, huh? :)

I love video games! I've only played a little bit of League of Legends, but I've never played Overwatch. Overwatch is incredibly popular right now, right? I'm more of a Minecraft girl. My favourites right now are probably Stardew Valley and Town of Salem.

What are you studying at university, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, I get what you mean about Neopets being gaudy. Subeta appears just more, how to put it, "adult" to me, from both the design of the page and some other aspects (e.g. the not-so-strict rules what is allowed in the forums etc.).

And the money, yeah, that was certainly surprising for me coming from Neopets. I made 4 million the first day I played I think, and I'm currently sitting on 14 with still some valuable items in my shop (and looking at my pets, it's not like I didn't spend anything ^^). Granted, I did have plenty of luck in restocking so far, but still.

Yes, Overwatch is pretty hyped right now, since the official release was just yesterday, after the open beta had ended 2 weeks ago or something. Interestingly, I've played all the games you mentioned, too :D I got to year 3 or something in Stardew Valley (that's when I quitted out of frustration over NEVER finding Iridium...), played ToS a lot about ~ a year ago maybe? and Minecraft is something I occasionally play. I just really play games like, a lot.

I'm majoring in history and lingustics - in Germany, you often take 2 majors if it's liberal arts (is that the right term?) subjects.

Heck, soon you're going to have more sP than me! I'm not very good at restocking though and I'm too lazy to complete most of the quests. Despite all of that, I still love spending that cash money. First world problems.

I'm currently in my fourth year of Stardew Valley, I think. The trick to getting iridium is to just mine a lot in the Skull Cavern. Killing the blue and purple slimes will get you iridium, as well as general mining and breaking open geodes. I think I have about 60+ iridium and I don't even use them because I've run out of things to craft. But you should totally add me on Town of Salem and we can play some time! Same username as this one. I'm actually playing it right now, but I died. I'm not really the best at it, but I try.

History and linguistics! That's so cool! I wish you the best with that. I'm sure you're going to do some really amazing things with your degree.
