I wanted to suggest maybe putting a disclaimer somewhere (maybe in the descriptions) so that people know that playing with the item will cause the pet to be turned into a Cadogre. A lot of users assume its just a toy and end up turning their pets into something they didn't want them to be.

I'm for this suggestion. I've made the same mistake before. D:
Also, this item:
tbh i think most of the descriptions are pretty obvious, though i can see why some people wouldn't think they were serious (looking at you, magic toast), and they all have a use function instead of a play function, but i guess it couldn't hurt? maybe they could be renamed to something other than toy? both?
the feli one is way less obvious, though, especially since it has both use and play options. i think if it's an elixir kind of thing, it really shouldn't be a toy at all x:
e/ i thought there was at least two more not-obvious-potion kind of things, but the only other one i can find rn is the magic ontra wand which could also use a disclaimer if the mystical feli doll gets one :?
e2/ i guess i was thinking of the filled bottles that turn your pet into a 7463, and it looks like some of them have a disclaimer ("Be careful using this flask, because it will change your pet in to a common Experiment # 7463!") but most of them don't? so i'm team disclaimer so long as they all get one s:
I bought a cadogre mystical toy to check and it only has a "use on" option, not a "play with" option.
This is kind of in the same bag as the genderchange berries. Those have a "feed to" and "use on" option and people do mix the two up.
Have a single "use item on a pet?" link/option. It would take you to a separate page with a list of all your pets (or a dropdown), a submit button, and a detailed explanation of what the item does and how it will affect your pet. That would solve a lot of these problems and questions, I think.
Or, a more simple alternative - update the descriptions of ALL the items (not elixirs!) that can change a pet's species to reflect exactly what they do when USED, not fed to or played with.
Or just, you know, remove the "use on" option from the items that don't need it (magic ontra wand, twilight kumos plushie, mystical feli doll) because those species already have a ton of elixirs and there is no point to having unpleasant surprise species changers like this. Imagine someone using one of these on an angelic pet or a neela out of curiosity... Ouch.
[edit] Don't even get me started on the filled bottles that turn your pet into a camel experiment. That is just pure trolling, imo. :|
