Since we've pushed the changes to the user shops we've seen a lot of positive changes on the site, and have had the opportunity to make a lot of smaller fixes around queries that were also bogging down our servers. We're not done, but we're getting a lot closer!

Good Changes

1. Worked out the problems we've been having with the scaling policies at AWS. This means that now when the site is getting overloaded, new servers will start themselves, and quit once the load goes down.
2. Rebuilt the startup script that happens when servers come up automatically. We were having issues with them coming up with old versions of the code and immediately running, instead of giving themselves time to pull the code. This is resolved!
3. Moved to a different type of server within AWS that has move processing power and less I/O because we need a lot more of the former and a lot less of the later.

Avatar Changes

1. Changed the caching on the avatar server to be significantly lower. You should see changes on your avatar a lot faster!

1. Had to add a timer to purchasing items from user shops. This is primarily for times like now when everyone is running to buy Vesnali coins from shops, and the system has to stop to ensure that nothing is getting duplicated. We're working on a better way to do this going forward, but for now, a timer :(

That's nice and some welcomed changes. I wonder if it will make a difference? Who knows. Hopefully the font issues get resolved. It's tiny, wonky and sometimes painful for the eyes.

However the user shop timer is horrible. When I'm trying to buy up tons of cheap items for fragging it makes doing so an impossible task. Not only that but when the day rolls over at midnight having the timer will make buying item for the recycle beast a major headache!!

Also can someone fix the vault so we can move numerous amounts of various items at once please? :)

I hope that timer can be removed soon. I'd not even noticed any lag and now there's a timer.... When buying in bulk, with the timer seeming to be about a second, that means buying 240 items takes 4 minutes. Used to take maybe 30 seconds. I think I'd rather have some lag tbh. Oh well.

I don't know if the issue is related to these changes, but the hair salon is currently not working and I have a broken pic as its layer. Moreover, the hair salon styles are blank. (It's working now)

How long is the timer for user shops if anyone's figured it out yet? I could test it out but my internet is running so slowly I'm not sure I'd be fast enough to see the timer if it's only like 5 or 10 seconds.
