Anyone else play? If so, are you playing the current League? I am absolutely in love with the Perandus League. I don't want it to end. :<
What kind of build(s) are you running? What are some of your goals before League end? How many challenges have you completed?
My main is a Voltaxic Sparker. I've also got a Varunastra Crit I'm working on. I also really want to roll a Support/Guardian character. So I need to get those uniques before League end. I'm sitting at 34/40 challenges. I think the hardest ones for me at this point will be the Vaal Temple entry and the Enchantments. I'm running the Merci lab today as much as possible; the layout's really easy and there's an Intricate Locker right at the end, so it's a nice little bump to my currency toward a couple other challenges I'm still missing.
I was a POE player but I thought the maze was just an absolutely awful mechanic in practice. After completing the normal maze I haven't logged back on lol. Perandus is a really cool league idea though, I wonder, how are unique prices running?
For the most part, Uniques are pretty dirt cheap. There are, of course, your standard ones like Shavronne's, Void Battery, etc. that still require large amounts of currency. It's not something they intent to bring to the core game, so it's not as though this is going to completely destroy the economy... but the community has been incredibly positive toward this. It's allowed so many users to try out builds they've always wanted. Like me. xD But yeah. Once I got used to the Labyrinth, it isn't that bad. But in the beginning? Oh. That would make me rage. Part of the problem (for me) is that traps deal base percent life damage, so it always chunks hard, no matter your armor, evasion, etc.
I played POE for a while but got bored quickly, I found Neverwinter not long after, that I really enjoyed for a long time. If you haven't tried it I recommend it for a free MMO.
I played a little Neverwinter, but I never stuck with it. Didn't have anyone to play with.
POE seems really hit or miss. Honestly, if I didn't have my husband to play with (along with a small group of guildmates who drop in and out), I likely wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do.
I do think that's a big factor, I had a few friends get into it at the same time so getting a guild together and questing as a group was more entertaining.
I am not sure I would have stuck around so long alone!
