Hi there! I've never posted on these forums before, but I'm looking for some advice now! My pet Adamantium's stats look like this:
Level 403 Health 1000 Strength 1000 Defense 1002 Speed 1000
Should I keep training them evenly? Or is this the point I should start focusing on certain stats?

You'll benefit from focusing on health for awhile. Having higher health allows you to beat tougher challengers earlier.
Ah ok! So I should focus on his health now. Got it!

I'm up to 6100 even stats on my strongest pet rank 78 Magentawhimsy. There are a few of the very tip top challengers I can't get because I don't have enough HP+overhealing, and the time-to-get-to-strength at which I was able to beat x challenger was always longer than folks who boosted HP. The speed boost I get instead from having such a high speed does mean I can defeat lesser challeners because I can inflict status effects on them but they can't touch me.
Now me, I'm primarily a merchant here, and my excess sP gets thrown at my pets and turns them into battlepets is just for the larfs. So I don't mind the extra time until challenger x. It's not like the whole battlesystem doesn't get revamped in unexpected ways every two years. I'll get there eventually.
Yeah, you'll notice the extra health helping in battle quests when you can beat challengers you couldn't beat before, and in turn you get more daily exp on average.
Got it!
Oh! That sounds cool!

At this point I'd still continue training evenly because of time and cost effectiveness. As Solsticesprite said, you'll eventually get to the stronger challengers. While the others are right, that more health is always helpfull and may give you the boost to tackle Battle Quest challengers till/above level 20 earlier.
As we have all learned painfully, esp. now with new XP costs, there is no perfect training/build.
We were asking ourselves this question not long ago, so I thought you'd be interested ^^
if you are planning on using rapier of error, i suggest increasing speed until 1300 while you are doing hp too. rapier of error is the best when speed above 1300. then, focus on hp.
What I got told was keep all even until 1k, then focus on getting health to 3k and while focusing on getting the rest of the stats to 1.5k afterwards.
From there on out, even I have no clue. I guess it depends on what build you want to go.
im actually gonna go with Boa on this one and say to keep it fairly even. Maybe do health until you cant anymore, then catch the others up. Rinse repeat.
But honestly you can't do wrong, as long you are constantly training. They will all catch up eventually :D
Personally I don't think it hurts to keep training even, the moment you start to veer your training a certain way, it is slightly more expensive. Especially if you are doing BQs, HP does cost more per point, and if you are working on building a pet rather than trying to beat a specific opponent, you'll eventually need the stats anyway, so personally I don't think it makes sense to spend more EXP on HP than on other stats. Eventually when you get to a place where you are comfortable battling and know how you like to battle/strategy, you can decide on which stats you like to lean more heavily on.
Personally I'm a big fan of strength for quicker battles, but I think 80%+ of battlers would most heavily invest in HP, followed by STR, with lower DEF/SPD :)

For what it's worth, I prefer the even method. I would actually train evenly until about 2500 or so -- and then only favor hp for about another 1k-- and then go back to the even training for another 2500 or so in all stats before I started really favoring certain stats over others. In the long run, it's cheaper and ultimately faster to train as evenly as you can for as long as you can.
Personally, I trained even until I hit around 1700 even stats or T10 when training became less frequent. I found there was more of a benefit boosting health then when I would be able to take on more extremely hard challengers then boosting health back at lower tiers. Now because my health is so much higher I can only increase it using exp for battle quests and health boosters. Increasing health at the point you are at now is just going to make training more expensive and not worth it challenger wise at this point.
I think I trained my pet evenly till 3k each stat. Then I used EXP for HP. I used the training center to build up speed and defense. I'm going to use EXP for HP till I reach 10k, then I'll move to STR to 10k and then keep training speed and defense. That's my plan for now.

just pinging you again so you can read all the awesome new infos. Keep in mind the question about the Rapier. If you plan on using it...it needs 1300 speed.
Otherwise, I would just do everything as evenly as you can. HP is for training only...not experience points(as you get less points for the exp...whereas training costs the same)
Thank you all for the awesome info! 8D I think I'll train evenly for a while longer then focus on HP/STR. ^,^

Going with the comments about increasing health, that's what I do. Whenever i go to the Training Center, I only train in health. But when I use my experience points from my Battle Quests, I only train in everything except health and level, since health is more expensive than all the other options there. Once I max out on health in the training center, i start catching my other stats up if they're behind. If not, I use a level-up potion i've saved up from Shinwa, rinse and repeat. That way, my health is usually about 5-10 above my other stats, and i think i've used my points the most effectively.
