That on Subeta, no one is really posting in the forums. The art section used to be full of new threads (it's old stuff now, dating back to 2015 and older) along with the profile markets and chit-chat. What is going on with everyone? :(
Guess Subeta needs new people. Or maybe it's the community?
I was wondering the same thing. Life I guess.
i was wondering the same, im on and off hiatus frequently so usually when i come back i always expect the forums to be as active as when i left. but i just came back again and the forums seem.....eerily dead :0 its super weird, especially the art forums and the HA games forums.
I think it's finals/spring break. That and the Subeta economy tanking might have something to do with it.
[edit]That and I'm sure as hell not using a site that keeps spitting out random 502 errors for no reason other than it just does.

Uh oh. dives in after and retrieves

I know the site is having problems. I've been playing subeta for a really long time and the fourms are no where as active as they were seven years ago :/
I think it also has to do with user demographics. Many people are near-ish 's age so most users were teenagers during the heyday of pet sites and Subeta's founding. I'm pretty sure the average age of someone on here is twenty-something so people are just naturally busier with things like college and work.

It's a bit worrisome. I hope the site isn't going down. I know for me, I pop around on a few different sites, sometimes ignoring the others for a while for one of them. That, and I'm not on as much because I work full time, go to the gym at least 4 days a week, and I have other responsibilities. Adulting sucks sometimes.
I don't spend a whole lot of time in the forums because I find many threads either don't go anywhere or all the people involved are people who already know each other and they either don't want new people coming in from outside or they just never notice posts outside their ongoing conversations, which are sometimes so full of references to things only known to the group and outsider couldn't hope to join anyway.
Also, I think Poppet has a good point that a lot of the long time users are adults now and there's probably not as many new users since the heyday of virtual pet sites is gone. I was a really active user in my teens and then wasn't on for a long time until just a couple years ago when I decided to get back into it. I remember when there were journals, hahaha.

i've noticed that too. I miss 2010/2011 haha the forums were hoppin back then!!
hugs to !! you can do it ;D
i was literally thinking the same thing. like, there use to be like 10+ new forums in a topic a day, and now there's a new one once a week? i don't know, but we need more players on this site! or at least have all the players stop poofing, and go on the forums, haha.
I'd love to spend more time on the forums, but to be honest, I just haven't found a lot of people I'm interested in talking to here. I don't know if just gaining more users would solve that. I mean I guess there'd be more threads to choose from, but would the quality of the posts be any different? I probably sound like a huge jackass now. At least I posted something.
i feel that
I remember those days. I'd like them back as well.
I'm feeling concerned now that it's a topic of conversation. I've just come back from a long time of not being around - I got a job and forgot how to enjoy life. Hahaha..
I'm trying to be more social this time around though. There is a decent online count but I guess there's not enough incentive for people to do so? Maybe...
To be fair, the shoutbox is usually pretty active. I think people just aren't as interested in forums as they used to be? I feel like that's what I've observed anyway. Times are a'changin'.
I'm glad that I found a topic addressing this, because I thought it was just me. I've returned after a pretty long hiatus, so I thought that perhaps this was how it's been for a while, but I guess not as long as I thought.
Personally, I'm making it an effort to reach a certain number of posts every day. Today, I want to get to 4 444. Perhaps that will help to some extent. I mean, if everyone posted 10+ times a day, then the world would be a better place, hehe. The trick is to avoid spamming. No posts are better than 100 spammy posts. I try to keep my own posts above 30 words, the more paragraphs the better.
I definitely agree with what everyone else has said though. It's an age thing. Everyone has a job or kids or school or a mixture of the three, and it's taking it's toll, obviously.

I'm a new user and I was definitely noticing the same thing. When I first started, I popped my head into the forums and then popped right back out; way too dead for me! Honestly, I'm really mostly posting now so I can get into the blue building. I think there really need to be better, more active topics if you want the newer users to really show a presence in the forums. If they get better or I find people I particularly like talking to, I'll probably keep posting after I've hit 100 but as it stands now, chances are I won't.
