I am SO glad you made this thread like an hour after I finished the last of a project that kept me from truly starting spring break. Cause otherwise I would have had the crankiest little tantrum.
Still gonna have a tantrum over my lack of gameplay.
Completed: None, I think... But I think I finished up the storyline to Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts 1 in December.

Also please play Skyward Sword. It's so cute! It's like all the action packed ness of Twilight Princess, but like the cuteness of Wind Waker.

HOPEFULLY AT SOME POINT
(I literally have like, 2 full pieces of paper front and back with all my backlog written on them, I'm awful for starting a game, playing for a few days then buying a new one. Rinse and repeat)
I'm so awful at actually finishing games, I have the attention span of a gnat and something has to REALLY LIKE CRAZY SUCK ME IN to make me play it non-stop to completion in one sitting ;3; I get them all finishing eventually... eventually...
Haven't completed any games yet. QQ I was playing Fire Emblem: Birthright non-stop but I can't stand not having an optimized team so I'm just rolling in tears.
Planning on playing conquest, revelations, and FFXV. I waited 7 years for FFXV.

I play way too much WoW and not enough Steam/console games. >_>
999 (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors) was so good, I haven't been that fascinated by a game's story in a long time. One of the endings actually made me jump and scared the shit out of me. I love games where your choices actually affect the course of events instead of just a scene or two. The puzzles were really good too, they were challenging but not frustrating. You will love it, play it.
T_T I have such a ridic backlog that I cant even justify buying any games that arent like 1 penny.
: NGL, Revelations is dragging on for me because of the same issue. xD I finally started playing the chapters again, because I'm only getting, like, half an experience point when I do anything now. :P
: I've had Zero Time Dilemma preordered for a year at this point. SO HYPED! (Although, this does go back to my "quit buying games and actually play the ones you have" issue... :'D)
: 999 is awesome. :D It always makes me happy when I see people playing this trilogy, especially since the creator thought he wouldn't get the funding to complete it. n_____n
: I am impressed that you've beaten two more games than I have, considering how your attention span wanders. xD
: I'm legit considering getting a PS4 if they bundle a FF game with it, either FF XV or FF 7 Remake.
: How was Akiba's Trip? :o It's rating isn't the best on Metacritic, but all the trailers and info I saw on it made it look like a lot of fun.
: Ahh, I loved 999 so much I thought about playing Ace Attorney, as the other major visual novel that's in English, but everyone told me I needed to play ALL the AA games to understand the story, and that seemed a bit much. :x
I look at birthright every now and then saying "i'm gonna do it. i'll finish the game." but i can't. I need to inherit skills from the internet and all that stuff. So I ended up buying and playing rise of the tomb raiders. @.@
: You could always do what does and care more about hair color than anything. xD
Tomb Raider's a legit way to go too, though. I've been watching my dad play it. The origin story direction they've been going with Lara Croft lately has been really nice.

Tbh, that was my first reaction too when I was recommended the series after playing Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, but as someone who looks for a good storyline in video games it was worth it. I wouldn't worry too much if you just want to check into the series and just play one game. The trilogy and Dual Destinies are available in the eShop, so you have plenty of time to consider. o:
Also... ANNA DLC FOR FATES!!
I was gonna play the DLC maps for Birthright then I wanted everyone to be able to open a chest. I tried skill hunting and i wanna cry. Overload of things to do for a game.
I am not even overexaggerating when I say it's one of my favourite like, non-big ticket games of all time. I have it on the PS3 and PS4 just for the extra stuff. If you like really really silly and fun gameplay and aren't too easily offended by a little unneccessary nudity, then it's amazing. It's one of the few games I actually enjoyed 100%ing, honestly.
I'd honestly super recommend it to anyone, not kidding. All the different endings and romance paths are really cute and zany, and if you love Japan, the recreation of Akihabara is just like, flawless to the point of extreme, down to like where stores are located and the advertisements. Part of the games collectibles are collecting different store flyers from the flyer girls, and they're all like, legit real life places you can go visit in Akihabara and Harajuku and stuff. But even if you're not crazy into Japanese culture, it's just a really fun and funny game. It's just different I guess! Dressing up your character is a huge part of it bc your clothes are basically your armour and you upgrade them by basically bribing your weird little otaku sister?? It's just strange.
I TALK TOO MUCH IM SORRY I JUST REALLY LIKE THE GAME..............
PINGING TO INFORM YOU OF HOW BADLY FOR NEED TO FINISH THIS GAME ;3;

SUBETA AGREES WITH MY RAMBLING
I haven't played the 2nd one (Virtue's Last Reward?) yet. I want to, but I see that there's a known save bug with it that can permanently corrupt your game data. As a compulsive saver, I'm worried that I'll keep corrupting my file and not be able to finish it. What's your experience with this?
Awwww. But you know you want to! :D
completed: pokemon omega ruby pokemon x tales from the borderlands (third playthrough!!)
in progress: pokemon yellow pokemon firered the legend of zelda: ocarina of time 3D dragon age: inquisition grand theft auto v assassin's creed: brotherhood assassin's creed: revelations borderlands 2 DLCs terraria

i'm notoriously bad about finishing games, so i have a lot i'm currently working on!! i tend to be a completionist too, so it usually takes me at least a month or two to finish most games, haha. the longest i think it ever took me to finish one game was wind waker, i borrowed it from my partner and didn't finish it until nearly a year later lmao. dying to clear some so i can look into getting some new titles though, borderlands: tps and stardew valley are top priority 👌

General update: beat Revelations today. 114 hours across three games, comes to $0.63 per hour of entertainment. I love video games. :D I threw Code Name: STEAM into my 3DS, but I'm going to try to finish P4 and Pikmin 3 first.
: AH, YOU HAVE ME SO HYPED. Once I work on my backlog a bit (or they bundle the PS4 with a game I want, which is likely to come first), I'll totally have to pick up Akiba's Trip for it. :D
: I didn't have any problems. I just went and counted, and I played through 16 of the 18 possible endings, no glitches. I suppose if a glitch did happen, VLR is better than 999 about making you replay through things you've already seen before, so while it'd be a nuisance, you'd be able to get back to your spot easily enough.
: I think 's played Stardew Valley...? I could swear that's one of the, like, eight games you've tried to get me into recently. xD I got through Ocarina of Time so quickly, though. (Well, it felt fast. Maybe it's because I sucked at the N64 version, but they cleaned up a lot of those issues for the 3DS.)
I am amused by the fact that all of us are terrible about completing games and have giant backlogs. xD
Finished: Undertale (three times trying to get the ending that I wanted) Pokemon Y
Currently playing: Dragon Age: Origins Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Dragon Age 2 (I'm stuck in one part and haven't been able to get past it in a while haha)
Going to play: Mass Effect Mass Effect 2 Dragon Age Inquisition Ace Attorney (I own all of them I believe and I started the first one a while ago but haven't finished) Professor Layton (I own all of those too but never even finished the first game)
I'd love to play the new Fire Emblem games but I need to buy those first. I also need to find time to play all of these. (I started playing Bioshock but kinda freaked out when I did because I went into it not knowing anything about the plot or world or anything and then things started popping out at me. Which I hate. I can deal with horror/survival, but not when it's a first-person shooter game. AKA I'm okay with things popping out at my character, whom I can fully see on the screen, but not popping out at me, the screen. I do want to play it, so I might get around to it when I'm not so scared haha.)
