There's a bug in which when a user requests a dance, they send out multiple requests at the same time.

Every few minutes I get another group of requests from one user. I absent-mindedly accepted quite a number of events before realizing it was all the same person! Should I delete the extra trinkets I've accumulated?

Usually like 3-ish? But at least 6 at once a few minutes ago. It's hard to keep track because one user's HA will show up with the request, but when I accept it it turns into someone else (I'm ignoring them at this point but have accidentally accepted a few more because it showed another HA).

- It's happened once with one user. I got 4 requests and accepted all of them without thinking.

I have no evidence about this by myself, but I believe you. Because I'm affaid somebody else got multiple messages when I gave this person an invitation.

This is so sad, because some users can think somebody else could be a smammer or so. But the real case is a tecnical case on the site itself. I have already suspect such a kind of bug for a few days.

I'ts good you start a topic about this. Hopefully this will solve some misunderstandings and possible unessesary panic by other users who got the same bug as you got.

Well it's pity about the bug on the site, but it is not a technical bug on my account. So that's the good news.

Folks, this has been happening for years. If you have more than one dance request in queue one will show up and as you accept the other will pop in. Just keep refreshing the page until you get the error beast telling you you don't have any requests. The only time this can get really annoying is if you've been asked to refuse so the other person can get the achievement. It happened to me about 4 years ago. I felt so awful and had to apologize to the one who was refused and to the one who was accepted.

I had 2 dance events that said "less than a minute ago" When I accepted they were both the same exact user (the one under me in a dance thread). I didn't have any other dances in queue. I actually did the 404 beast thing before I even posted in that thread to make sure I didn't miss any dances, so...

Being there was glitch abuse with the last event, I filed a ticket for this just to be safe ^_^

What if you have absolutely no clue if this has happened? Because I don't really read or pay attention to this stuff especially since I had a migraine for about 5 days and the medication I take (two of them) are hypnotic/sedatives so I just am too tired to check.

I noticed that too when I got 100+ dance requestsfrom one person in the space of maybe an hour.
