...of having both 'hp' and 'health' listed on pet profiles? it's the same stat just presented twice in different manners - once as the pet's current hp out of their total, and again as just the total max hp. but like...... why??
the bar listed as health is redundant. I wouldn't mind if that went away.
personally i think if the one labeled 'health' were removed i'd prefer the one labeled 'hp' to be renamed 'health' just because, well, that's what the stat itself is called and it looks nicer alongside the other stat names. the only annoyance of changing this would be pet profiles that have already been designed with the stats showing, as this would change the size of the stats section and throw off any color-coding someone might have done with the stat bars (i.e. alternating colors, gradient, etc.)
Yeah I agree with you, it wouldn't make sense for all of the stat labels to be the full stat name and then to have health as an abbreviation. True, that would throw things off. Maybe this is a task for if the pet pages ever get their recode.
I do not like this Suggestion at all. The bar is NOT redundant.
All the other stat bars including Health show less than full sometimes. This is because the bars next to them are measuring them in relation to your highest stat. They are not actually temporarily lacking nor could they be made to match your highest stat by visiting the Healer. Now it could be for all the users above me that Health is their largest stat so this bar always looks totally full. But mine isn't, I always have a little more Speed because my weaponset works better that way.
The HP bar shows you the temporary difference between max Health and current Health. This doesn't correspond to the bar above at all.
Yes, 'health' is health as it relates to the pet's trainable limit. 'HP' is the current amount of health, and isn't full if the pet needs healing.
I don't think current 'HP' matters to anyone but the owner and shouldn't be on the profile.
Took me a while to work out what you meant lol. But I see what you mean. My health is lower than my strength so my stats show similar to yours. I guess my only question is, why do you need to be able to check how full your temporary health is on that page?
why do you NOT want to track temporary health on that page, what's wrong with that? All y'all may not like it but I do. All my pets are battlepets and I like being able to see it there. Showing that it might not be full shows visitors that they are working pets and that they are real scrappers. may be mad by this, but they don't have to visit my pets.
My original idea is a refutation of the reason for the suggestion: it doesn't matter if mine's a good reason or not really. The bar isn't redundant.
Oh, I'm not disputing that you might. Just asking why you do. I've personally never used it for that and just wondering what the benefit is, in case it might be a good idea for me to do so too. I'm used to just going and healing everyone and checking that way.
I have 29 pets and while I do go in and heal them I don't always do that right away. I do it the other way-before I fight with a pet I look at their remaining health and if I estimate they need more than what they've got I will heal them. But many weaponsets (and all of mine) have healers or weapons with heal factors and being all tiptop just may not matter-it's an unnecessary expense and clicky.
Sometimes I'm done battling and my fingers are aching me, or Subeta crashes, or it's dinnertime and I need to feed everyone in RL. These can cause my pets to be less than max, too.
that is fair enough. Thanks for explaining. I don't think it would be something that I'd find that useful myself, as I'm not using it with that many pets. Only 10. Congrats on that many battlers btw!
Yeah it does seem a little redundant as the HP bar shows both current health and total health/health stat. Wouldn't miss it if the other one disappeared. Edit: man when the posts above actually load :V Didn't realise the total stat bars changed size depending on relative size. That's kinda neat actually. Still makes having both HP and Health look weird though!
I'm not sure if it would look better having all the 'stat' bars close together and the HP bar slightly spaced out just below them so you know it's measuring things separately to the others. Maybe we could even have the stat names/values within the bars? (ok that's more of a style thing P: )
<style>
{display: none;}
{display: none;}
</style>
true, you can get rid of it with css.
I don't think we need the bars to show the relationship between the stats, the numbers kinda do that already. they could probably be changed to display better information.
yes, but as long as you have the HP bar you can see both your pet's current health, and their max health, so you don't need the other bar which just shows max health. (also it wasn't so much a suggestion as an observation/question)
You can remove all of the stat bars on the profile if you want to. I've customized my pet's profile that way because I also found it annoying: https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=1003548
.statbar {display: none;}
The HP one is full most of the time, so for all I care it can be done away with on the pet profile. You can easily check that on your "My Pets" page or just entering a low end battle to make sure
However, instead of just "Health", the battle pet widget could show the XXX / XXX HP since that's technically more.. battle related.
