Anyone else around here play/have played/playing SMITE?

I've never been a big fan of MOBA's and the like, but I downloaded it out of boredom some time last week and absolutely love it. I'm a mythology lover anyway, and the massive amount of gods, from pretty much every culture nailed it for me.

I've been maining Arachne (Just got Mastery IV weewoooo), but dabbling in Poseidon, Sol and a few others too.

The matchmaking can be frustrating at times, I always seem to get paired up against Season 2 Pros and never seem to get any on my team haha :(

So yeah, anyone else been playing and wanna discuss?

Hell yeah! Same story here, MOBAs aren't really my thing, but my brother downloaded this since we are both mythology nerds and we've been having a blast on it for the past year and a half or so. My favorite god has to be Neith ^^

I haven't played Neith outside the tutorial! I've never been crazy about archers (although I was playing Rama for a quest the other day and he's pretty awesome, if terribly slow lol) I keep meaning to go through all the gods in alphabetical order and then I'm like eeeeehhh naaahhh.....

I'm maining Kali now haha. I'm a fan of finding item combos that basically break the game and make me crazy strong. In Bravely Default I spent hours finding job and ability combos to make me invincible haha and that never leaves me :'D, so I've been working on a build to basically make me invincible by the third round of upgrades.

I figured out if you take Ninja Tabi > The Executioner > Hastened Fatalis > Rage > Qin's Sai you basically get max attack speed, don't get slowed down while you're basic attacking and any god that isn't Ymir will be dead by the time my stun wears off!

I only play Arena too, unless the daily challenge calls for something else. Gotta get those sweet free gems. You should check out the Match of the Day, sometimes they're amazingly fun. I ignored them for ages and then saw one that was like, you started with 12k gold, and at level 20, and it was just chaos it was amazing. Everyone was fully upgraded from the beginning and just spending all their extra gold on wards and str potions it was madness, our team ended up winning with something like 100+ combined kills :'D

Oh yeah, I love MOTDs and play them when they are on the Arena map. My fave is Cooldowns runneth over, the one where you have 80% cooldown reduction, max level, 100k gold and infinite mana. Super dynamic and super fun!

I've never been good with melee gods. I guess I'm too much of a scaredy cat xD But I love my mages and hunters! Especially the ones that have strong CC. Love annoying opponents :D

Cooldowns is my FAVOURITE motd ever. It's ultimate chaos oh my looord. I don't mind the Conquest maps too, but they take so so so long and if your internet cuts, or the servers cuts, sometimes it can be 1+ hour just gone, and your sportsmanship will drop to 0% which is absolute bullshit tbh.

See, I'm the type to just run in, deal as much as I can, and jump out. That's why I love Kali, you can jump in, drop your incense and stun, then drop your ult attack for area damage and invincibilty, then jump the frig away when it runs out haha. The build I play that I mentioned is a slow starter and it doesn't really get strong until like the third wave of upgrades, so for the first 10 minutes of the match, I'm just jumping in and out. I end up with like 20+ assists and 0 kills cos I just run away until I'm strong enough :'D then I just run back in and rack up kills. Everyone probably hates me.

Yesssss CC is my mortal enemy, but I love it. Especially in Conquest when you're trying to push lanes, I love seeing someone come towards me and they think they have it, and I just wipe their minions out in one go haha and they're like RETRREAAAAT

Hahahah yeaah! And Kali late game is like super super strong! The playstyle you mentioned makes me think you'd enjoy playing Bastet. She is all about the jump in blast people and jump out. And she is super fun to play, even for me ^^ Playing as her against a Nox tho, not good xD

Do you follow the SPL?

I've tried Bastet and I just can't get the hang of her! I think like I said, I need to like, go through in alphabetical order and just mastery rank 1 each god to get a feel for them. When I started I liked Poseidon, then I tried Sol, and since then I've stuck with a basic rotation of about 4-5 gods depending what I'm playing like, whether I wanna push or jungle or arena etc.

God help me against Nox, I hate Nox. I hate playing against Ymir too. AND I ESPECIALLY HATE PLAYING AGAINST ODIN AND HIS BULLSHIT RING OF SPEARS.

I don't! I've only been playing a few weeks atm, I keep seeing it pop up in my news thing, and I've looked at how it works and stuff and it seems mad neat, but I'm not even ranked level yet, I'm like just about level 20. I'm excited to maybe be able to join the next round whenever it is. The one now says Spring, so I'm assuming there's another one every change of season? I hope so, I don't wanna wait until 2017. Some of the prizes seem mad cool too, I'm a skin hoarder and I want them all.

Odin is mad OP nowadays. Like they nerfed his ult recently, but it's still too useful. And because he is getting overplayed i tend to go with gods with jumps, just so I don't have to deal with it. But then the opposing team often has an Awilix, which is bad xD Because just when you think you've leaped to safety she just pulls you back in and destroys you >,>

Me and my bro often play together, so when the team needs like, a guardian he steps in and when we are in need of a hunter I play instead. He is super lame at the game tho >,> Jus' sayin' <.<

And yeah, the SPL prizes are really cool this year! It's a super weird split tho. Last year you knew who the top tier teams are, and who is on the bottom. This year there were a bunch of role swaps and player swaps between teams and now everyone is beating everyone (well except for the world champs Panthera xD). It's super exciting to watch tho :D Skin hoarding tho, I so agree! I am a hoarder in basically anything in play (wardrobe, hello), so getting skins is my jam. I think I like Voicepacks even more than skins tbh. I have about half of them already ^^

I think I read somewhere his ult is getting nerfed again, I'm not sure whether it's duration wise, or cooldown wise. I hope it's duration wise UUUUUGH.

I play it with my bf and he's pretty bad too haha, but since Skadi was released he's been doing pretty well, he managed something decent like 10/2/21 the other day I was proud.

I love the voice packs! The Toxic Huntress one for Kali that looks like predator is so dope, and I love all the pirate ones too. And Swagni. Ohhh Swagni is so neat.
