So I made a forum group and the ping tag was PAWS! But when I use it it pings PAWS , ignoring the ! mark. It also links to their forum group.

I did some searching but I didn't see this reported yet I think.. Any hope for a fix? I'm unable to ping people to things I will need to each week..

- I don't think we're supposed to be able to use special characters in ping group names, so I can't see them "fixing" it. Your best bet is probably to just make a new group.

Actually, it doesn't look like exists yet, so you could just take that?

Wait, yes it does. But it didn't come up when I did a search for the name. That's weird. :x

Then they should really note that on the page or make it so Special Characters are refused when creating a group. :/

The whole reason I added the ! was to keep my Ping short but different from that other group.

Guess I have to figure something else out instead. Thanks for the fast response though.
