We did Western last year in the Boutique and this year we're focusing on Chinese. There's a third that may be lesser-known to people: the Celtic Zodiac. It's all animal-based, just like the other two. While in this zodiac I should've been born late October-mid November, I digress. It's a really lovely zodiac. Below is the link:

It's also associated with trees, if that adds anything. I don't know if Alyssa is bringing in the elements with the Chinese zodiac (I know some of the Western sets did, but the Aquarius was off--- it's supposed to be air not water), but it might lend well with Celtic-inspired sets.
Personally I'd rather they do a new theme instead of more zodiac. I mean I love the Chinese ones so far don't get me wrong (I'm stoked for the rabbit sets), but I think two zodiac themes are enough. Maybe they could do like, mythology sets based around deities or beasts. Or maybe sets based on the different subeta lands.
THIS. ^^^^^
I think I'm with . A third animal-based zodiac might be a bit much.
Mythology would be amazing, or something like fantasy archetypes (druid, mage, knight, ranger, etc.)
Or if you really want to stick with the zodiac theme, there was once a suggestion for having a Subetan zodiac. Then we could have sets inspired by mahars and noktoas, instead of having a third bull-themed set.

Springboarding off 's idea, heck, you could even start experimenting with a Subetan slanted Tarot idea.
I really like basically all these ideas...so as long as something comes of this I will be satisfied.
they/them/theirs, please.
I think any of the suggestions here could make some very cool sets, and I hope Subeta continues these year-long themes.
I'd love a Celtic zodiac theme, mainly because my sign is the cat and I'm always open to more cat themed items! <3
I also love Lirikai's idea of something Tarot related, that would be super awesome and interesting to see!
'The fox sign is amazingly cunning and knows how to work a room with sly, sexy humor. Full of guile, vigor and bright intelligence the fox is an untamable force.'
Yup, that's me cracks knuckles
Seriously though - I think it's a lovely idea! Also like the tarot idea too =)
How would the elements come into play with Subeta's zodiac sign, though ? Would they use the same ones as the battling (which are 9, so 3 would have to be added; death and light could be added) ? Mage amulets (10, so 2 would have to be added; physical could be made into one) ? Would six be picked (wind, fire, water, Earth, magma, ice) ? Four (wind, fire, water, Earth) ? I'd vote to go with mage elements and add metal, personally. Would pet colors come into play ? They would have to already have a list of what pets correlate to what emotion/personality. Honestly, it's a good thing I don't help staff with this stuff. I'd do some just to fuck with people (Harvesters are surprisingly drawn to the heat and sunny weather of summer [Leo]; Popoko, generally seen as playful and bubbly, are most at home in the dead of Autumn and not Spring [Scorpio]; obiously Sepenth would be whatever falls in December)
I'm not sure why it must be all CSC items or CSC themes, but for the rest I like the idea.
The Celtic zodiacs are cool.
Why not a Chinese, Western, Celtic and a Subeta zodiac all together? Wow that will mean 48 signs in total.
A harvester as the equivalent of the lion and the popoko as the schorpio, are funny.
We have the constellation items that could be the Subeta signs, so Serpenth, Rreign, Chelon, Keeto, Kumos, Ontra, Lain, Tutani, Ruffie/Feli, Popoko, Anyu and Tigrean.
Iunno. I figured those were mostly related to the regions, and wouldn't there be an issue with two pets for one sign ?
Having two things is pretty much my schtick as a Gemini, and I have to get over it even though it's dumb as hell.
But yeah, we have literal constellations to work with, we can start from that.
Considering western constellations were devised literally by Greeks looking at the constellations, mentally conjuring images from linking stars and then assigning meaning to them, it wouldn't be a far fetch to have a subeta version.
Subeta has humans too, as well as animals( subeta species) so it's perfectly possible that lore wise subetans could of conjured their own mythology associated with certain animal constellations.
Anywho, zodiac art is always pretty so I'm a-ok for it being on site.
I do not care for more animalish ones, there's a lot of duplication. The druidic tree ones are pretty cool.
I decided to put together some examples of what I mean by fantasy archetypes, since no one commented on it. Maybe I can win someone over. :P
Assassin Mage Knight Paladin Necromancer Ranger Druid Bard Cleric / Priestess
(I only picked female character designs, because good-looking female armor is hard to find unless you just want metal bikinis.)

Constellation based stuff gets a "yes" vote from me.
