Achievements Reset?

Do your achievements reset after you've been away from the site for a while? I just logged in tonight for the first time in what must be at least two years and I keep getting notifications for what seem like simple achievements I'm sure I've already completed. In looking more in depth through the achievement page, I'm missing achievements for events that I know I took part of, like fireside.
Any information on this would be much appreciated. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things with this site.
At one point we moved over to a new achievement system and you had to import all of your old achievements to it. It's possible this happened while you were gone(I don't think it was that long ago, but I don't quite remember the time). I'd file a ticket and see if any of the UAs can help with this. ^_^
