--EDIT-- Several partners found - I don't have room for anything else. Thanks for your interest, everyone! ^^
Hey folks! You know what I'm here for, so let's get right into it!
Ground Rules: -- No minors. Sorry, kids. You might be the next JK Rowling or Neil Gaiman and I'll be sorry to have missed out, but I'm 23 and it would be weird. 18+ only. -- No fandoms. That's nothing against fandoms, I just find them harder to get into in terms of RP. I prefer original stories. -- Skype or email only, please. I'd be willing to try sMail, in a pinch.
About Me: -- Started RPing in 2004 -- I'm really into world-/character building and I love working out plots, but it's really frustrating to be the only one working on them. We'll go a long way working on stuff together! =D -- I started off exclusively RPing long-form on forums, but in about 2009 I discovered IM RPing and have learned to enjoy script style. I'll do either now, but with the caveat that script style must be detailed. I'm really talking about writing closer to a proper movie or comic script than what I think most people picture when they think of script style. When done right, I find it's a very rewarding and fast way to get through a really good chunk of RP. My long-form replies tend to hover somewhere around 300 words (2, 3 paragraphs?) on average, and it would be preferable if you could do the same. -- I RP male and female characters equally and I do enjoy a good romance, but I don't want a story that is /only/ about the pairing. Romance is the cherry on top of the hard won, blood-splattered cake. -- Outside of my RP life, I'm the manager of a small post office and creator of a weekly webcomic. This is fairly exhausting and can lead to delays. I'll try to keep you updated at all times, but you're welcome to prod me a little if I get too quiet. -- I will generally have at least a couple main characters, and a drove of side characters. I don't expect you to keep up with my numbers, but I would like you to at least have a couple side characters for a well-rounded story. It would also be fabulous if we both had some kind of villain or antagonist to shake things up. We can talk about that later if you're interested.
I'm Looking For: -- Anything fantasy. I'll take medieval fantasy, science fantasy, urban fantasy... I deal with enough reality at work - I'm here for the faerie wings and dragon breath, please. ;) -- Plots where heroes are faced with insurmountable odds and end up imprisoned somehow, leading to rescue or escape and bonds of friendship strengthened in the adventure. (I'm a cheeseball - humour me.) -- Human/ humanoid characters. (Vampires, faeries, elves, demons, werewolves, angels... we can talk it out.) -- A long-term partner. We may not mesh, our schedules might be too weird, I might fall asleep for a week due to work stress, leaving you to slowly zombify... it might not work. All I ask is that we try. =)
Reply here or sMail me to get started, and if it looks good we can talk skype/ emails. I'm open to just about any suggestion. =)
Cheers!
Hello-ello! owo I'm interested in an RP! Even have a plot in mind that we can change up or whatever =w= Here's the link to my post that has all the details and even descriptions for the available characters: https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/849112/Original-One-x-One-Subeta-pets
Hope to hear from you! If not, then good luck :)

Thanks very much for the offer, but I don't think that story is quite up my alley. I really hope you find someone, though. =) Good luck!
Hi . I am looking to flesh out a plot surrounding my character, Nasir. He is among a Fae type of folk, growing up in a coven that is a matriarchy (yes, you read that right). The Fae are magical creatures with their own Gods, and are quite beautiful to the non-Fae eyes. But to humans in particular, they are horrid things. Though quite beautiful, the Fae live among their forest domain and legends surround their existence that make them child-killers, abductors, and the stuff of monsters.
Some MYTHS about Fae that humans likely would believe
Things that humans likely believe that ARE true
Fae don’t oppress humans— they merely exist beside them, and find no remorse in tearing them apart should they invade their lands. They don’t really wander away from their lands, so thinking that they could be behind kidnappings is simply irrational. But the humans, who lived alongside them for generations, believe that the Fae are demons with no mercy, and no rules. What they know they typically know from legends and it is a personal choice whether or not to see if the “legends are true”.
Beautiful to the eye, with magical essence, but can be quite horrendous in their hunting/fighting/true form. These particular Fae resemble humans except for their odd teal-like skin color, their height, and their “sharp, pointed teeth”. However, they also have a second form of sorts: Their hands and claws extend, their teeth protrude from the mouth into large canines, their bodies become more twisted, and they have the tendency to be very feral nightmares. For the most part, though, they are like all “monsters” and that is that they are simply misunderstood. While they are not friendly with humans, they do worship the planet and its creatures. But they have no interest in making peace with outsiders and therefore stick to their own ways. They are worshipers of their deities, and each Fae child is given as a servant to a patron god when they are born in exchange for a “gift”.
Nasir was placed in their sacred pond as an infant and given the gift of water. He can easily locate water, breathe underwater, and is immune to the cold. With further training, he can generate steam and manipulate the element itself. In exchange for such a gift, he must pray and be willing to die in the name of the Goddess that visited him. If he doesn’t, his coven believes a terrible omen will fall upon them and Nasir will not cross into their Otherworld. It’s like that with all Fae— each has different gifts, some don’t have any at all.
"When I was born I was placed in our sacred pond, Edda, as an offering to our deities. As our traditions hold, a child will be chosen by a specific one. In exchange for a lifetime of worship and servitude, the deity will offer a gift to that child. Upon my placement in the water, it began to glow, and from the Otherworld came Keptyra, Goddess of the rivers and ponds. She blessed me with a connection to the water, and thus, I became hers for all my life.”
In addition to that, sometimes those deities get jealous/upset/angry with their servant Fae, and lash out against them. It is Nasir’s duty to do all things through Keptyra, knowing that she watches over him. If he should die from something, it was Keptyra’s will, because to him she has the authority to interfere with anything endangering to his life. If he dies, it was because she wanted him to.
Nasir is a watchdog of sorts, not exactly a hunter and not exactly a warrior. He’s both. He patrols and keeps an eye on invaders of their territory, but instead of confronting them, he will turn back to warn the rest of the coven. Whereas a warrior would fight them off. As a Fae male, he is quite territorial and is heavily influenced by his desires. The desire to challenge another male, hold his ground, protect women, and provide. He can be feral when he wants to be, but is not typically hotheaded or rash.
Male Fae rarely work together because of their dominance, so female Fae are usually the warriors and experienced males. Young males (like Nasir) will be hunters, watchdogs, or just guards.
I would love to do a central character Non Fae x Fae type of ordeal, and then bring in secondary characters whether they be more Fae, more humans, etc. It would be cool to explore the human-Fae dynamic.
This was a LONG post. If you read it and liked it, feel free to world-build with me ! My email is [email protected] OR my skype is tmbsavage1 and I am definitely down for creating something really magical and wonderful with you. Bring on the dragons, the elves, the humans, the goblins, the demons, etc. :) And I hope I haven't come on too strong, I really am willing to world-build in depth! I enjoy darkness, tragedy, war, and fully fleshed characters that grow as the roleplay grows. Hope to hear from you.
Hey there! =) I actually got a whole bunch of replies over sMail and I don't really have room for anything else - I'm just coming back to lock this thread. If any of the others fall through, I'll keep you in mind, though? In the meantime, good luck! =)
