It sounds weird but it probably isn't that bad. ;) What I need is just the line art for galoshes drawn over the overlay (large size) of the experiment . On a separate layer than the pet. So I can color the galoshes then merge the 2 layers together. See? Not that bad! :D

So there would need to be 5 in total drawn around his cute squiggly little tentacles so it looks like he's wearing them. I don't want just an outline of the boot either but also lines for a sole/heel and the top "cuff" part.
