I have often wanted to find similar colors for items in my wardrobe that don't already provide a small handful of hex colors to search with. It would be nice to have a feature in the wardrobe where we can enter in a HEX code in a field that will pull up all clothing items that are similar in color... like the options give you for some of the clothing. And the clothing that does provide pre selected HEX codes to search with, sometimes there's more colors in that item that you wanna search for that aren't provided in the codes pre selected. Or maybe a color selector, like an eyedropper or just the cursor to select a certain color in the item that will auto fill in the field the HEX code for that color you are looking for. Don't know much about coding, so I'm sure both suggestions would take some time to do, but I can see the feature being used a great deal.
[Center]well, it's been a slice. I'm outta here. I'm done here and I need to move on to other things. I've grown weary of forum bullies and just don't have the energy for them anymore. I am praying for my friends here, as well as the bullies... everyone needs prayer...
As for my friends, I love you immensely and you are always in my heart and in my soul. God bless each of you and I pray He blesses each of you greatly.

The current color selector in the wardrobe is awful. Half the time, when I'm trying to look for a particular color, say pink, the clothing item only shows me grays, whites, and blacks. It sucks and definitely needs improvement.
Yeah color searching right now is kinda...not the best. I'm glad we have it, but it could be a lot better.
I've thought about this before myself and would love for either of these options. Agreed that the preset hex color thing is definitely broken in some way because if I can look at an item and it has blue in it, yet I'm getting things like yellow and red or something to choose from or that god awful grey that never finishes loading items because there's too many to pull up when I search there is definitely something wrong.

i would definitely like to see this system improved, though i'm not sure how it would actually work. currently i'm assuming the wardrobe uses some fancy script to match the colors in an item with a pre-determined set of hex values (because there is only a limited amount of distinct colors/shades of colors recognized by the wardrobe), which is why sometimes it only seems to pull colors from the wrong part of the item (i.e. a primarily blue item that is only tagged with gray and yellow). tbh i don't really know anything about coding beyond, like, css, so i have no idea how complicated or simple it would be to refine this system, add more colors for it to recognize, and improve how colors are read from images.
Something similar was suggested a while back on this thread, but this one is far more recent, so I'm posting here.
The current color swatch picker thing isn't great, but for the most part, it gets me close enough to what I'm looking for. I'd love to see a more specific improvement, but I feel like that might be a bitch to implement. I'd be much happier if there were a couple colors that actually matched the item we're looking at, whether that was done via hex code search or just an improved set of color swatches that we can choose. It's really hard to make something color-themed with the current color swatch picker, but it's a lot better than nothing!
not sure who to ping here because I don't know who exactly is in charge of the color picker thing in the wardrobe or how it works, so hopefully you can point me/us in the right direction. :) Is there somewhere that we can maybe get a list of items that either don't have color options listed (it's common with new items, but I've also found some older background items that are also missing color swatches) or items where the color options just make no sense (e.g. where the item is blue and green or something but the color swatch is giving like a bright yellow)?
