Howdy! I just wanted to post this here (although I believe it has been made aware of) that there seem to be a few users, including myself, who happen to have double & even triple infections that all seem to be progressing. I believe that most of us double clicked the 25k option or selected a specific 2016 strain and then switched to the 25k option so when the viruses were kick-started it gave us both. I figured I'd make sure this was a clearly known issue, so as to hopefully not have problems registering the viruse(s) at the end (so waiting through the progressions wouldn't be in vain).

I believe the other folks (identified by Rainfall in the Strain Tracking thread) are , , , and .

My vote on this- treat it as a glitch, and manually edit everyone who is affected and eliminate all but one of the strains that they already have.

let them keep all the skins. they grow them, they got to keep them.

I agree with . Give them whichever one they clicked first, and let them progress through another new strain if they decide they want it. I don't think there are that many users affected by this, so it hopefully shouldn't be too bad to fix. If the rest of us have to wait for one strain to progress at a time, might as well level the playing field.

I think it's been brought up a couple of times, but there hasn't been a public staff response to it yet (at least not according to the admin posts feed).

Do you have any record of when they turn in their skins? if you can find the people who turn in more than one skin on the same day, you could easily find who had multiples.

not technically that but it does give me an idea of something else to look into the feasibility of :)

Ah yeah, that does seem unfair to the folks who reported it. All in all, I don't see it as a huge problem. Theoretically, everyone is going to get a chance to get a second, and maybe third strain. So, these people just get a head start. Them getting extra skins is a little unfair on that basis, but doesn't impact anyone else negatively. If you guys can't fix it, then I don't think any riots are going to happen. ;)

See I'd have been perfectly fine getting rid of one of the skins when it first happened. As it stands though the users infected (including me) have had five days of having double strains and not once has staff said anything about it.

If it had been mentioned right away that staff was looking for a solution/to come forth/we'd never get to keep both then I wouldn't care. Staying silent on the issue after it was known, and especially so far after the fact, I would be upset if I have to give one up at this point. Its not my fault the site wasn't working properly and I got two strains. I paid the 25k each time, and while it's not a lot, the site shouldn't have allowed me to be infected twice in the first place.

I'm getting concerned about this because it seems like we're going to start wrapping up our strains late tonight/early tomorrow. I realize the skins won't show up immediately for us, but should we be doing anything on our end if we get both skins? I don't want to do anything wrong so if we need to file a ticket I'm going to file one, but I also don't want to file a ticket and give up one of my skins only to find out you're letting us keep both, kwim? Is there any definitive info on how this will be handled, yet?

I wouldn't be so sure about that, haha. Some people get way jealous and way whiny.

I am just finishing up with the doom bloom virus (exuberant) and have just been infected with blood rush (enamored). I didn't sign up for a second virus??

It seems that people were able to bite even if you didn't sign up as soon as the skins were awarded. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for those already infected but it is fixed for next time.
