Aaand discovered I can't use any of my old weapons anymore because my pet is only Tier 2. So long Malevolent Grimfruit.

Everything seems based around these tiers now and I'm not really sure what I'm doing. Kind of frustrated because I'm being destroyed by opponents I used to be able to go up against indefinitely, but I guess it's a matter of it being more fair this way?

I need some help figuring out what's the best way to go about things at this level. Who are the opponents I should be fighting?

What are are the good low level weapons? Right now the only ones I have that I can use are Fireside Bow, Red Rreign Staff of Lore and Cursed Irion Chestplate.

And then in my Scrolls I have a Flare Star. Is there a best low level scroll to use as well? I have 8 AP. Been reading through the guides but it's all a bit overwhelming to take in.

will probably be some pretty cheap good weapons for t2.
maybe a few too.

posted that on another t2 thread.

you'll want to buy eventually, 100% healer and useful in every tier, available in the MC.

this guide is a rough estimate of each challenger's tier. I think I'm missing one or two challengers on there, I'll go update it after this.

You should be doing battle quests every day. you won't be able to do too many, but the exp you get from them will help you get stats.

For scrolls, you should probably make a in the secluded shrine. it's cheaper to make than it is to buy. infinite use healing scroll so it'll help you, eventually you'll want to upgrade it but it's probably the best for lower tier battling. you will want to keep reading and getting more AP though. 8 isn't enough to have too many scrolls equipped, so for now, go with the divine denizhen.

Alright, buying those. Thanks for the help.

Kinda tempted to buy the quill now but it seems annoying to have to pay extra because it isn't the right season to buy it. Might hold off till summer.

I currently only seem to be able to make Alchemy scrolls up to level 3, so I can't make that scroll yet. How much intelligence/Alchemy points do you need to be able to make Level 4 scrolls?

There are five levels of scrolls you can see to make. Every 5 AP your pet has allows you to see another level, and the pet needs to be your active pet in order for it to register. So once you have 25 AP (400 Intel), you can see and make everything in the shrine.

found that in the battle guide, first link in the battle forums :)

quill is worth it right now even if you pay a bit extra imo

I'm guessing I'd need 15 AP for level 4 then. Thanks a bunch.

If I get frustrated enough without the quill I'll probably cave and buy it.

uhh I think 20 AP for level 4 if you need 25 for level 5. yeah see how long you can go without it. there are probably options in t2 that allow you to not use the quill/ the extra mil or two you pay for it out of season isn't enough to really break you :P let me know if you have more questions.

heals 50 which is okay I guess.

Turned out it was only 15 AP for some reason. Got the scroll now, it's helpful!

Do you have a reccommendation on when to start spending experience points? I've got amount of them stashed up from when I was battling before my hiatus, but I feel like it might be best to save them for when the training gets more expensive.

guide might be wrong then, it might be a new level ever 5 AP but you start with level 1 unlocked. I'm not sure :p spend your exp asap. stat costs go up as you get to higher tiers, so there's no point in saving them up.

Sorry, I meant when the Training Center costs get more expensive. I've been using that to increase my stats so far. If I spent all my exp now (I've got about 17k stashed up) wouldn't that make it so that I couldn't use the Training Center to increase stats until my level caught up? And at that point it would be a lot more expensive to train? Or should I just only use the EXP to increase stats?

oh training center costs aren't worth worrying about. 17k exp won't make training sessions too much more expensive really, that translates to 68 str/def/speed or even less HP. sure it might bump you up a few levels, but you can either spend some exp on level or train in the training center. it costs 45 sP per level to train, so if you go up 10 levels or something, that's only an extra 450 sP per session

Ah okay I guess I'm seeing what you mean now. As you go up in level stats get more expensive regardless if you're spending sP or EXP, so just pour em all in. For some reason a while ago I remember being recommended to save up EXP for when Training costs get higher, but it sounds like it doesn't really amount to much.

that was probably before exp costs went up with tier. that is only a guess though.

Since last time I was on was before tiers were a thing, that... would definitely make sense. Heh. Thanks again for your help.

No problem :) I don't remember too well before tiers but I was active for a time before them.
