slot me, please! He's adorable and reminds me of the time a teacher asked and allowed me to take home the class turtle… I did so without my mothers approval, lol. Spent an entire Summer learning about the little guy. Though I think my mothers nasty smoking habit made him ill. :/

haha, yeah, it was a spur of the moment kind of thing, I think. No idea if he lived another year in the class after me. And I think it was the Summer I was transitioning into 6th grade so that makes sense, I suppose! How did those baby chicks do for two weeks? :)

Hi there ! A quick heads up that the CI may have to be changed. As great as the it is, it has no real connection to the overlay. The overlay could also be altered to actually have the dandelion in it !

Do you think it would be accepted, since the title/description has the word dandelion in it? Or do you think it really needs dandelions in the overlay? I'd prefer not to have them in the overlay but if I can avoid it.

I think it needs to be more connected to the overlay. You can always try still ! But right now it seems like it's just a dandelion item and would be a dandelion wearable. You don't have to add it to the overlay ! That was just a quick idea to give you an idea. You have to have some clear connection between the two, though. Like for some items the colors or patterns can suffice. Pieces of the overlay added to the CI can work. A carved tortoise.

See how the colors are matching, and the icing is in the same shape as the makeup. The book + quill are on the desk. The colors + a clear indication that it's in some way a bar/club.

Some things can get by more easily, others you need to make compromises sadly. I've had plenty of "no, Muerte, you need to change this" denials, ahahaha

I was thinking of putting a small pile of dandelion leaves in front of him to munch on, or possibly just have a small dandelion growing next to him if the CW gets rejected for that reason. However, some wearables exist already that are similar to this one in terms of CI/CW connection (For example, Scavenged Seal Meat - you wouldn't immediately make the connection between seal meat and an arctic fox, either.) .

So I guess what I'm saying is, I feel there is a good chance of having this go through okay. If it doesn't, I will add dandelions to the overlay. :P

There are many items on site like that ! And ones with bigger leaps from CI to overlay; but that and the others are official items. The official artists have more freedom in what they do. But there is no harm in trying ! I was just trying to give a heads up/warning. Get your creative juices flowing as a precaution, if you will, ahaha

That's fair! And I appreciate the advice, too. This is my first CW, so I don't have much experience with getting accepted OR rejected, heh! I'm fully prepared to do whatever it takes to make it acceptable. :)
