So, I've noticed that every time I do Carl's quests, I get 2 or 3 quests where Carl is asking for something higher priced than any other quest giver would ask for. For example, today, he's asked me for a Magical Mushroom, costing basically 2 million in user shops. Could anyone look in to his quests? I know that I'm not alone in noticing this, and it's been going on for a while.

On a side note, possibly related, the prizes when Carl is sleeping are totally nothing unusual. There used to be a time when I looked forward to getting a sleeping prize from him, but lately some of his awake prizes are way better than the sleeping ones.

Carl today asked me for . Lowest price in shop search is 1,875,000 sP. No way, Carl.
I haven´t done Carl´s quest in a long time because I found no time and did it today again after weeks. I had to skip 7/15 quests because he asked for items 300k +. I think that´s to much quests you have to skip, perhaps he needs some adjustments?

The same has been happening to me too. I skip half of his quests because they are 200k+ and the prizes are poor, and the sleeping prizes even more so. :( On the other hand Cinthia is giving great sP and prizes for how much she is asking.
Hey guys! I have been told that any restockable food with an official price of 20k or below is fair game for Carl so unfortunately I don't think these will be removed.

He asked me for 3mil jellybeans today.
Once in a while is whatever, but if multiple people are skipping half his quests, shouldn't we do -some-thing?
Today, I had only to skip 4 quests yet nevertheless, he asked for: Red Frosted Bauble Cookie 164,999 sP Egg and Cress Sandwich 147,000 sP Blueberry Pressed Flower Shortbread Cookie 229,499 sP Chic Box of Macarons 824,800 sP

Don't some of the quests have a component of factoring in the user shop prices though? Carl seems to be the only one who consistently asks for things that are priced at 100k or more, even Saggi's requests aren't that expensive.
I think Carl is different in that it looks at official price (on the foods anyway). Amber did say she would look into maybe tweaking it if possible but I just wanted to make sure you guys had an explanation on why there are high priced items.
And it really is a luck thing because I haven't had to skip a quest in a long time.

Well thanks for the explanation anyway. I'm not too bothered about having to quit quests, as I still make a decent amount from the others. It just seems odd that his are so different.
Strange - this is definitely a bug. He should not be asking for items worth 300K or a few million.
Today, Carl had quite the special demands for cheese, LOL!
I had to skip these quests: Cheese Shaped Like A Pie 110,000 sP Sunflower 100,000 sP + Cheese Shaped Like A Pie 110,000 sP Chocolate Filled Pie Slice 99,500 sP + Peanuts 72,320 sP Cheese Shaped Like A Pie 110,000 sP Tentasalad 92,400 sP + Strawberry Cake 239,800 sP Strawberry Cake 239,800 sP
So I could only do 9 out of 15.

Glad this is something that can be looked into. Today he asked me for a 4 mil and 1 mil item in the same go. :P
I don't think Carl needs adjustments. The foods he's asking for are of a high rarity on purpose. The economy is such right now that high rarity foods are expensive because of Gourmand and Achievements.
It would be nice if there were a new way to distribute rare foods.... Lowering Carl's expectations feels like a cheat to me.
I think the issue is stemming from the reference data. Since there are tens of thousands of items on the site, it takes a while for them to cycle through and update all of the pricings. If an item is priced at 20K (and hits the parameters of Carl's quests at the point in time) then it might take some time to update the reference price as the actual price sores to, say, 300,000 or 2,400,000 sP.
