I've been having fun making overlays for my own pets and I'd like to make some more! The only things I won't do right now are complete redraws. Otherwise I can try anything. Please be as clear as possible in your request!

That sounds fun!!! hmmmm Could you maybe make my bloodred aeanoid be the same color as his glacier twin? I'm uncertain on the blood... it may look cooler in green or purple. Why would aeanoid blood be red? ^_^

(sorry, I was offline all of yesterday >.< ) I'll make it an aeanoid green or the dark matter purple then! Did you want the same markings and ice/snow as the glacier one has? Did you want the eyes the glacier's colour too? I'm about halfway through right now C:

I'd like him to keep his mismatched bloodred eye color and non-ice spikes, but have the color and markings of the glacier guy if that's possible. c: No ice on his tentacles since he ran away from their homeland, but maybe a puddle from the ice melting under the tentacles? And if in your experimenting you decide the blood looks way better in the aeanoid green go for it cuz I trust you, but I think I'm leaning toward the dark matter purple! Maybe with a couple of the lil dark matter bubbles hangin around. ^_^ linking for easy access to lots of sizes/shapes/poses of them

Cool! I'll keep those details in mind! I wish I was faster actually XD But the overlay recolour method never looks right when I do it so I relined + re-shaded it instead. Which will help with putting the markings on at least! And it'll mean you'll be able to have a transparent one if you wanted! C: I was thinking the same thing with the bubbles! (great minds think alike! ;P ) I'll definitely add a few once I get up to the blood if purple ends up looking better!

Nah, it's fine! I like doing the detail parts! And with what I do have so far, it would only need a small colour change so it's simple! C:

Hello! I was wondering if it would be possible to recolor the black (or grey) on a nuclear noktoa to a bright yellow, and make it's eyes a sort of blindish white color? It's for my pet, Fluoxetine.

Don't worry about it! I would have probably had to spend more time in removing the bloodred's markings if I didn't! And either way it just gives me more practice! :D I'll hopefully be finished in the next day or two! Ooh, that looks awesome! What's his character like? I take it from the name he's very princely ;P

Woo! I can't wait! so excite :D :D :D Well, actually Prince Tajem is a bit of a floating character at the moment. He's not one of the clearer personalities in my head, I suppose that's why I want to play with his look a bit. Maybe the more I can picture him, the more I can figure him out. :)

Hehe, I have a couple of characters like that too! XD I hope you can work out his personality soon! Have you tried writing a story for him? I usually find it helps when I start writing it out to figure out my character's personalities!

hmmm... there are two things I wonder about changing... The spikes look way out of place now, would it take much to turn them black or grey? And I had the dark matter 'blood' darker in my mind, more like these squished up guys: Would darkening up the purple goop be a quick fix or a PITA?

But really if I'm getting a transparent one to play with I can always mess with the colors if you're so done with this guy by now. LOL XD You've done a fantastic job I really love it!

I haven't written anything for any of them yet :/ It's all in my head. Dangerous place to leave things LOL I'll have to sit down and try it out at some point. :)

Those should be fairly okay to do! C: The spikes especially since luckily I did that on separate layers! For the blood do you mean the actual dark grey/black bits of the dark matter rather than the outlines? (sorry if I'm misunderstanding!!) Feel free to play around with it if you'd prefer picking out the colour yourself though! Did you want the .xcf (gimp) file maybe? It'd be super messy since I used like a million layers though XD

I feel like that's quite common for us creative types! XD So many characters, so few of them exist anywhere other than our heads XD

Yeah, for the blood coming from his mouth I was thinking more dark goop like the bodies of the squished dark matter there with outlines/highlights of the bright purple aura. I guess that's actually more like... black rather than purple... v_v I'm an idiot. Or this purple: .. I think.. GAH my brain will not explain so I can articulate!

Hey a million layers is better than one! Harder for me to screw it up! lol I just got gimp so sure, I'd love that file! :D :D

If only it were easier to get the characters (and story lines) out of the brain and into the world! :D

I think I get what you mean! Is this a bit closer to what you imagined? I made it more black/grey, added and aura around the blood on the ground/drips/fingers, and used the to give it a few highlights! I can definitely change it again if needed though! C:

Here is the xcf! (lmk if that doesn't work since it's the first time I've used that site!) Unfortunately the blood (apart from the colour edit layers) and the markings are all on one layer each so you might have to go to a bit of trouble editing them, but overlay and multiply layers are fairly helpful for that! C: You can delete the hidden layers, I just included them since they could be useful! Let me know if you need any tips if you do give editing it a shot! Or explanations, etc, because even though I did try to organize the layers, it's all still so messy XD

Yeah! D: Why can't ideas write themselves down for us!! One tip I've heard is to carry around a notebook so you can write ideas down in your free time and when inspiration strikes! It does actually make it a little easier! Although it's not a complete fix I suppose XD

Hehe, I suppose it could be like the plot of the Big Fat Liar movie or something XD Like you could seek revenge for them stealing your ideas! XD Idk, perhaps instead of an actual notebook you could use a notepad app on your phone or kindle? I think Evernote was a decent one since it saves it online so you can access it on your computer and stuff!

Thank you for the overlay! It's beautiful, but i'd definitely like it brighter, yes please! like, borderline garish kinda deal (the tablets are pretty obnoxious). Eyes are perfect though! :D

Is this a little better? C: Or does it need to be even brighter/less bright?
