My 9 year old is autistic and I found that movies seem to help him calm down. The only problem is he keeps wanting to watch the same one's over and over. Does anyone know of any good movies I could show him that he'd find entertaining? Don't get me wrong I like How to train your dragon but it is getting old lol.

what movies does he usually like to watch?

I recently watched Inside Out, and it was an incredible movie, but most Pixar movies are usually very good.

, the repetitive watching of certain movies is a bit tiring huh? I understand because my brother is autistic too. Anyway, like others said, any Disney Movie and Inside Out are pretty good choices. Maybe you could also try some Dreamworks and Don Bluth movies to mix it up as well? I hope that helped. :)

Yes it can be tiring at times..but I understand how he can be with something he is used to.I guess the biggest challenge is to get something that will catch his attention lol. Thankfully there are a lot of movies to choose from.

I suggest checking this!: http://www.imdb.com/genre/family/?ref_=gnr_mn_fm_mp It's a list of popular family friendly movies. If one looks promising, you can click on it, and scroll down past the list of actors until you see " Parents Guide: View content advisory » " Then you can click on that link and review the "questionable" materials from the movie, and decide if it's okay for your child. ^_^

One of my favourite family movies is A Monster in Paris, I just rewatched it yesterday - it's entertaining, very beautiful and has great music.

the incredibles is always going to be one of my favorites! the shrek series is always fun. hmmm, the emperor's new groove and madagascar??

or if you want newer movies, zootopia and the jungle book were amazing! you might want to watch them yourself first though because they both have some parts that could be too scary/violent for him!

Some of my favourite movies are Lilo & Stich, Happy Feet, and Finding Nemo. They're old, but they're so good that it doesn't matter. You could probably watch them a few times before you get sick of them.

I hope that some of the movie suggestions here have helped you with the repetition. :)
