Anyway, I had a thought during the snowman building event. What if we did a summer camp in Peka Park? We could have councilors that are NPC's. We could do fun activities that you do at summer camps. Hiking, crafting, swimming, etc. What do you guys think?

I think that it could be fun! Different activities offering different points and there could be like a winning group again, similar to this event. Like you said, different activities/games/donating etc. Councilor NPCs sound great!

A camping thing would call for steady items from Go Outdoors, so this shop would need a time limiter, perhaps a longer one since those items start out more expensive than snowballs do.

There used to be a sand castle building game in the Games section so I think such a thing is part of Subetan history? Anyways there are other shops with undervalued items that are maybe more summery than wintery to use to support the sandcastle or summercamp teams, plus Seedlings to use to decorate them ala rose parade floats, instead of thimbles items.

There was a Centropolis Gardening Project that was a spring-themed one, not so sure that one had a restocking portion does anyone remember?

The Centropolis Green Project used the floaters (trash, wood, old tires) and, I think, seeds. So maybe half restocking and half event item related.

I like all of these ideas, although I'm still hoping for another music festival someday. Just SOMETHING in the summer would be awesome!

I don't feel like "summer camp" is something that's really appealing to me. Like, aren't most summer camps designed for children?

Burning Man or Flipside! are kinda like summer camp for adults. Everyone swoops in does their thing and performance art and stuff, and then there's the huge effigy at the end. Restocking could be musical, and shoes/accessories (because nobody's wearing clothes) and each team would create something monumentally ephemeral to light up or set on fire or eco-dissolve in the waters of the Glade.

Now Burning Man is kinda a rich person's game nowadays, so perhaps there can be a potlatch type thing too, seeing how much wealth you can destroy to get the Forum Title, first 1000 users.

Because as terrible as it was planned (goddamn disguised avatar contest), the idea was good, it would be a fair way to rerelease the items people missed. such as the CSC flower crowns and the food truck items.

I think it would be cool! But no competition, specially users X users, it's obvious that we can't handle it. It could be just fun activities that would give us points to buy things at the end, something like the last EPICon maybe? So it would keep everyone motivated and excited.

And titles. Don't forget the titles.

I'm hoping for another Epicon this year, but I'd be down for another Peka-Boo (if the problems from the last one got addressed) or something like this camp idea.

NGL, I was kinda hoping that my Rumi plot idea would be something for summer :P Every time NPC stickers come around and they aren't Rumi I get so excited and hopeful ;u; Nonetheless, summer camp sounds interesting, but I definitely think it's the type of event that requires a similar setup to the snowman contest. Maybe with a twist though. How about it cycling through all the events you've gotten down each day? It would give people a chance to shine where they are brightest in, like a game, restocking, battling, cheering, donating, creativity (like writing/art), etc.

I'm all in favor of just about any sort of summer thing with the Peka park. I had suggested a Ren Faire earlier, but I also dig the idea of a Burning Man/summer camp style event.

A summer camp mini-event would be super fun! We could have cabins (similar to the teams we chose for the snowman contest) - and different kinds of events (even if it's just playing pre-existing 'summertime' games, which would be easier on the staff than coding up MORE new games. Some examples are Net Gain, Thimblerig, Seashell Spotter - but I would not complain about an art update to fishing!)

I get easily annoyed with restocking-related tasks, because of the rapid inflation, but I think it wouldn't be so bad if we had to complete certain tasks (building a tent, making a fire, etc) that each had different keywords to pull from, instead of one cluster of terms the entire event.

Really, I'm just dying for SOMETHING to do during the months between events/in the summertime.

Omg Subeta version of Burning Man would be awesome 8D But I also like the idea of just a summer camp type of event! Our pets could make little leather wallets and tell ghost stories.

That's exactly what I was thinking of. But really those long summer months drag on with no event.
