There's a feedback thread about it in regards to the snowman comp, but I'm not sure what people are referring to. :P What was involved in the glitch? Sounds like the MB had Bake Stop as it's shop of the day??
everyone in the thread assumes you know what they're talking about. I skipped around. Here's a guess:
A few folks think that just because it was the Bake Stop on one of the game days that in itself was a glitch, and I do not agree with that one. That gets conflated into the real objection, as do autorefreshers which are cheatsy IMO, but that doesn't seem to be the real objection. Users think that there was a way to circumvent the 5s delay on the Buy button of the Mystery Box.
Separately, and possibly deserving of a fix, others still have pointed out that you could tell what you were going to get by the price, in relation to non-site-event related Buys.
the glitch was that if you clicked the buy button a ton of times very quickly, it would repeatedly buy the same item many times. that way you could get a bunch of items in a very short period of time.
hmm, sounds fine that the Bake Stop was rotated in, it's random after all.
Ah, that doesn't exactly sound like a glitch though, more like no cool down had been programmed in. Like we can spam click on vending machines for mass items too.
except there is a cool down, it's not based on timer but based on a hash in the url.
aha thank you! I can see how that is a problem.
I don't think that's the first time you've said that! :P
Ohh, so there was meant to be a cool down but it wasn't working? Fair enough.
Thanks everyone for replying! :D
not so much a cool down, but the hash is meant to make you click the button, go to the buy page, and go back and do the same process over again. it's like vending before it was revamped. it's made so that very thing isn't allowed to happen, but spam clicking kinda defeated it.
