CONTEST AREA

Now that you're on a team, they need your support. You do that by cheering and donating supplies to keep them motivated.

Cheering: You can use this direct link to the CHEERING SECTION if you're in a rush. We're allowed to cheer them on once an hour.

Supplies: The supplies are found in 4 different shops, Thimble & Co., the Bake Shop, Get Mugged, Icy Goods and the Avalanche Emporium. To donate an item, have it in your inventory and once you're at the contest area just click it. ANY ITEM THAT RESTOCKS IN THESE SHOPS CAN BE DONATED. RETIRED ITEMS ARE ALSO ACCEPTED. EDIT Thimble & Co. has been added to the supply shop list!!

You can also VEND to get items to donate. There have been some subtle changes in the items each machine gives out but you should be able to count on getting a decent amount from these two for sure:

Personally I've gotten supplies to donate from several machines. Another way is to QUEST. No matter where you get them from, as long as they restock in one of the 4 designated shops, you can donate them. ... Cheering gives your team .5 points, each item donated gives them 1 point no matter what it is.

HAHAHA... Maybe you do smell funny. LOL. But I like here. I know we are mostly spread between the two biggest teams -- Nature and Stick Together, with a few stragglers. I think this is cool though. We can trash talk, and cheer each other on, and have private conversation. I agree about the pinged group thing. I belong to too many groups already, and don't participate much. I get LOTS of Lair pings, and I don't think I want to be pinged a million times by strangers.

I just donated a small shipment of goodies to my team as well. I vended and got a ton of goodies, plus I had a few snowballs stashed. I am going to get on the ball and get more stuff.

- I think having our own special place here to talk about the event would be nice. I tend to also not venture into the forums much as well. I find our group is already full of the kind of people I want to talk to :)

I looked at that Forum and moved on... I'd love for us to have our own forum - it might actually get me involved! (btw, you got to my store before I emptied out the right items to donate; fortunately I still had some un-priced ones as well as some that were more expensive, so I donated a good amount so far).

I'd rather stick to talking to Bears, so I like this idea. Even though there seem to be very few Team Sibling Bears (Hi, Straywillow).

As for Team Nature, so far I've only donated approximately 100 items, I'm about done gathering up 100 more from the 3 main shops before going back again but I'm not rushing like I normally do. I want to see how it actually works before crashing my computer XD!

Kristi, what team are y'all on?

I hate to even ask this, do you think we should make a list of who is on what team? I am on Team Stick Together. And I got my buddies with me. Judykm, Frieda and Pumpkins. I know there are several other Lair Bear there, but I don't know who yet.

I'm not sorry, we should have made a place for us in the first place, LOL! We got it now!

Well, I see that you double-posted, LOL!

I rarely participate in groups in the forums as they tend to be very 'cliquey' I like the bears' threads because I know I can pop in and out and post if I'm up to it.

I won't have much time to spend here in the next day or so but I'm doing my best (my father-in-law died last week and it's his funeral tomorrow)

WOW!!! And it's only the first day. LOL. Don't tell Laurie, but I think we will be some good competition! I haven't spent anywhere close to that much on donating items. I have spent very little so far, and most of what I donated, I vended for. I guess I need to get on the ball.

I like having this topic here for cross-team talk. I too tried venturing out into the wider forums and didn't have a very good time.
