Hello ! This is a really, really weird thing to bring up but it's happened a couple of times over the past few days, and I just think it's not a known thing.

When you submit your custom items and are including a link to an image for reference, pleeeaassee shorten it up! Either use the URL tag to make it smaller, ie:

or by entering it into a site like tinyurl to make it smaller.

The problem is these really long URLs stretch the screen bigtime (I'm sure you've seen it around the site/other sites before!) and this essentially makes it impossible to work on CWs. We have to go through and find the ones with the giant URLs and deny them just so we can look at the queue -- and I know no one wants to have their item denied before we can even look at it!

It's never been brought up before, so I figured now was as good a time as any to do so! Thanks so much, you guys are all awesome and we love getting to look through your submissions!

This issue could also be fixed with CSS. ^ ^ Something like this. word-break: break-word; word-wrap: break-word; hyphens: auto;

Yes, but there's also a lot of us that have to load the CW page ;) Not just me and Darling, but all the UAs that do their accepting part, artists that take over for me if I'm on vacation/sick, Amber/Ariel if they need to check on something -- asking you guys to just keep an eye on it definitely helps all of us involved :)

Literally every time I include links I worry I've borked the coding.

You guys should include a 'preview' button for the additional information portion to double check our coding is correct. I constantly check my outbox in smail to make sure the coding is right (cuz the preview button still doesn't work in smail). But, I also try to make sure I look at the code now like, 5 times before I hit the submit button.

Good to know tho! Will def avoid long-ass URLs if I come across any in any potential refs. xB

you can use tinyurl.com to shrink url's also. I use this site all the time when I am given a huge url to ref.

Yes, tinyurl is such a great tool! Then you don't have to worry about breaking coding :)

So there is no posting images directly anymore? this worked: click me but no images when I use See?

You can absolutely still use the img tag if you want and post the image itself (and it's actually set to shrink them for us!) -- you'll just want to make sure the code isn't broken so it leaves the huge URL :)

[edit] If you mean why isn't it working here -- that I have no idea about!
