(I cant seem to preview a post before posting, so any mistakes will be fixed after posting)
Ive been derping around with making another CW for the past week or so, and it still doesn't seem right (meaning, not Subeta quality).
Since theres a few CWs I am working on, Im putting them under spoilers so its not a huge post
Crane machine/fortune teller
It started out as a vending/claw machine, but told me someone suggested to make it into a 'fortune teller' type thing (I cant remember the exact user), which actually seems like a better idea to me. :)
I went along with that and added the 'person' (or, cat rather) on the inside, since I couldnt come up with a way to make it work with the HA being the fortune teller.
What Im really having issues with is the shading, and what to put on the 'sign' up top. D: Small fortune teller with HA Crane machine (no crane) Large fortune teller no HA
Dresses
I havent worked on this since i started the crane/fortune telling CW.
Again, the issue seems to be with shading, and making them look 'right' on the bases.
'Vine' dress on male and female bases Princess Elizabeth I dress on female base <-- I want to add a belt of some sort to it like this one here, and as you can see the sleeves are really horrible looking in my version.
Im not sure what to offer in way of payment except a slot on whichever one you work on, but just let me know how much you're asking, post some examples (if you can make the CIs for them too, thats good!), and I'll see if its something I can work with :D
I do have several versions of each file with the different layers, so if you do offer your services and I accept, I can send them to you somehow

I got bored and had a stab at the red dress. If you want the psd's for these, just let me know :) For free of course :)
Its gonna need some more highlights i think, but my eyes are hurting right now so im giving up lol

are uh.. are you using mspaint or something? you can't be using a pixel brush for custom wears, you need brushes with antialiasing, probably preferably with a tablet.
your shading is also very light, and practically nonexistent for all intents and purposes that cws need it to be there for. you really need at least a basic understanding of how shading works before you can really tackle custom wears without getting denied a hundred times, so you may want to start outside cws, learning how clean lineart and shading work.

It looks perfect to me :D. And at least 100% better :D
And the PSD files would be good. ANd dont expect to not get paid something for doing this if they end up selling. Im not THAT evil XD
I have never been that great at shading stuff, so thats why it looks really shitty. Outlines of stuff, maybe. Flat coloring, fairly decent sometimes. Shading? It looks like a one legged chicken did it.
And the links I posted weren't 'final' in terms of anythign, so anything could have been changed- the pixel lines made it easier to change the colors of thignsif I felt a need to, and would have eventually been changed once I felt like they were close to getting done.
But yeah...Agreeing that a tablet would be a big help. Im guessing you mean a drawing-specific tablet (and not an iPad type one)? If thats the case, do you know of an 'entry level' version that I cold find for a decent price?

Intuos Draw Creative Pen Tablet is good for a beginner. I have an older version, (waccom bamboo), and i've had it for 7 years now and am only just needing to get a new one! You could probably even buy a Bamboo for cheap off of Amazon. They're really durable and as long as you have a decent drawing program it should be able to do anything you need. :)
I usually stick to GIMP if its something more 'complicated' than can be done in MS paint.
The cost doesnt seem too bad on Ebay for that one in particular...Any other ones that cost a bit less I could look at? (No ida how much my tax refund might be, if any this year that could be spared on 'want' things)
