while i was browsing the pawn shop's custom wearables section, i found an item priced at 360csc. however, when i did a shop search, it listed it as being 500csc in the pawn shop.

so what i'm wondering is, if i clicked the "buy" link from the shop search, would i be charged the 500csc or 360csc? likewise, if i clicked "buy" from within the pawn shop, which amount would i be paying? and also, does anyone know why there is a discrepancy in price between the two?

i hope this is the right place to post this, but please let me know if i should seek an answer elsewhere. thanks!

edit: i just checked the shop search again, and the item is now listed as being 600csc in the pawn shop, but still 360csc from within the actual shop. this also raises the question - i recently bought an item from the pawn shop via the search page that cost me 500csc. would it have been less expensive if i had been inside the pawn shop to purchase it instead?

the reason there is a difference in the prices was that there it was Black Friday that day items are half price.And the prices have not change in pawn shop yet and it will cost you the 500 for that cw not 360

It does not matter if you buy from shop search or in pawn shop price is the same,Hope this helps you

thank you so much for responding! that seems to make sense, based on what i found when i tried looking this up before making a thread about it.

though i actually just bought one of the items i was looking at that had a price discrepancy (this time being 500csc in the search, but 400csc from within the shop itself) and i was charged 400csc for the purchase. so i guess the amount you get charged IS what is listed in the shop if it's purchased from there, but i still don't know whether or not the item i bought earlier would have been cheaper if i'd gotten it from the shop page instead of the search - though my guess is yes.

it seems kind of strange to me that there's a difference in prices between the two still, but i can only hope that they change that soon so people are paying the same amount for items that are located in the same place (or at least become aware of the difference in prices before buying). anyway, thank you again, i really appreciate it!

That is weird I have never know the prices to be different I have bought something I have seen on shop search say 500 but bought it from pawn shop and the price was the same.

@ /bread i think it's due to the length of time an item sits in the pawn shop, the price decreases to a point. , for example say they're 600 in the pawn shop on ss but in reality it's 360 there. (today) i bought something from the ss pawn link that was cheaper in the pawn, it charged the proper cheaper pawn price ^^

[sub]?pretty sure? it doesn't change on ss because if someone pawns another copy of the same item, the new copy is at the higher & original pawn price.[/sub]

This is correct! I have seen an old news post stating that depending how long an item sits in there is depending on how much itll cost! And it charges the lowest price if you click the buy from shop rather than going in DESPITE the wrong price showing! I know because I just bought something the other day that ended up being like 300... while from outside the pawn said 500 or something! n-n

i knew about the decrease in price over time and i thought the ss price might have had something to do with the "starting" price or what have you, but i was a bit confused as well because there were no other copies in the pawn shop at one of the times i've seen this happen.

but having the base price as the one shown in ss does makes sense! also thank you for confirming that it's the lower price that you get charged, if there is one - makes me feel a lot better about not taking the extra couple minutes to sift through to find what i'm looking for. c:
