I would so kill for this dress! I love beauty and the Beast. It so stunning and gorgeous! I like it as is. I feel like it if you were to cut out the part for the hand it would ruin the dress. But that my opinion

I love Beauty and the Beast and was waiting for someone to do a tribute to the dress. The official onsite one isn't good enough imo. There's a few things I'd point out- the top, the 'sleeves' lines seem a little thick around by the arms, and the shadow behind the breast also seems too dark, almost black. Staff has been known to deny things for being too high contrast as well as not enough. I think some of the darker shadows are a bit heavy on this dress, making it seem not as refined as I'd like. I love the rose details and I agree that leaving the hands behind it makes it seem even more lovely- and almost era appropriate. lol. I would simply lighten up those darkest shadows a smidge and it'll be perfect. =) I hope whoever gets this let's me have a copy. ;n;

Beauty and the beast is my all time favorite movie, so I'm extremely happy to see such a beautiful rendition of her gown! I would agree with what said, as it does seem to have a high contrast with the shadows in particular. I think the dress looks perfect as it is without the cutout. Beautiful work & design!

how is this?

kinda wondering if i need to do the same with the folds on the dress as i needed the shadows since each layer is bulging over the section below it, so i tried to add shadows so its not flat. i did try some. i did fix the bust and straps, im thinking its way better. Hopefully i wont have to change too much. hopefully this edit makes it more agreeable looking.

Better on the top, but yes, that's rather what I meant, was the skirt's shadows were too bold and dark, making it too dark in places where it ought to be softer. You can also lighten the lines on the inside of the outside outline to give it a slightly softer look. (Too bad you can't make the outline on the inside lighter tho like the dress in the movie lol) But, lightening the shadows on the skirt and even the inner lines a bit to a more dark brown (but not too dark, enough to be seen separate from the dress, yet not so dark it's like "HI I'M AN OUTLINE"). A lot of artists do that, esp a light colored dress to help make the dress look softer and more elegant.

Before the inner lineart on the dress was a dark brown- the only inner lineart that was black was sections of ribon and lace. so here is what i have so far. it looks softer now at least i think so.

Oh wow that dress is really pretty. :) I agree with you that I like the hands behind the dress. I'm glad that a Belle gown is being made.

Belle is my favorite princess and I really love this dress ;^;
