As far as I can tell, no one has been taxed through the random event since 07/21/15, when posts about it suddenly stopped dead when usually there was a post at least every few days. link

I've looked through all the forums I can think of and can't find a single post after that date. A thread (link) came up in the help forums asking about it in November but nothing came of it.

I'd love for it to be fixed so people can get the related achievements. c:

Now that I think about it, it feels like it's been a long time since I've gotten one of those REs as well.

last mention I can find of the RE by staff is ">here where it is still in place. I found speculation of the RE retiring when we get user shop taxes, but I can't actually find a post confirming he was taken out. I went through 33 pages of admin posts looking for this, so any announcement very well could have been in news comments though about shop interest...

sebastian phoenix tax RE was retired, as were the achievements.

I just know from my inquiries that it's been disabled for a while! I'll make sure more people are aware when I go to do a siteupdate thread about the donation center later. :)

there is the meta achievement "Taxpayer" too and it's not retired.

yeah from the OP I figured it was taken down awhile ago :p thank you :) my new group is up to 77 people, so it gets the word out to a few. and awesome about the DC I assume is getting put back up later :D

while you're here and we're talking about achievements, do you know why the achievement for collecting all the pumpkins is retired (Pumpkin King)? some people were complaining about that on SS and I don't see any good reason that should be retired?

This is so illogical. Ask players for SP sinks. Take away a SP sink that many people did not mind because they wanted the achievement. Claim users were told but give no indication where that happened...
