I've spent most of the day trying to make a small little nest here on Subeta.net and I think I have gotten the hang of it all. Mostly. I think.
I'm not so good at introductions and the like, but I'll try.
I'm 22-years-old and a housewife in the making. I became engaged to the love of my life on August 27th, 2015, with our planned wedding date on April 22, 2017. We've been living together for about two years now and have been dating off and on since freshman year of high school - for a total of over 5 whole years! I regret dearly that I cannot say we have been dating for the going-on-9-years we've known one another, but well, teenagers are silly, and we mastered the art of ignorance.
We have four furbabies - three cats and a pooch. Our oldest is the dog, Kyo, who is pushing about 7 years old now. Following that is our mentally inept and stubborn fatty cat, Edgar, who will be turning 3 in March. Then, we have Echo, turning 2 in March, our cock-eyed "Chubbbutt." Lastly, there is Reya. We adopted her from a family and we are unsure of her birthdate, but she is a wee bit over a year old now. Kyo was named for his vibrant orange fur - reminded me of Kyo from Fruits Basket, as well as a singer from a popular JRock band who shared a similar style at one point in time. Hey, I was young... Edgar was named for his eccentric personality, reminding me of the written reports of my favorite author, Edgar Allen Poe. Echo is actually his daughter! She was named due to inability to speak for many months after her birth - reminiscent of Echo in Greek mythology. Reya was named after the Earth Goddess Rhea, due to her gorgeous earthy, amber eyes (spelled differently to avoid "diarRhea" jokes from my mother.)
I very much enjoy Poke'mon. I have a Poke'mon tattoo, even. I'm probably sitting on a landmine from all of my collectibles, too, but I will find joy in staring at my collection and continue to be a poor person. I'm so materialistic at times. I have my reasons for having such a strong passion for something so silly. I'm sure all of you do, as well, and that's okay.
I have nothing but time. Many things keep me from being able to work but I do what I can to support my fiance in his own hard work and emotional and physical burdens. Meanwhile, I do your typical housewifey things, but I also dabble heavily in a game called "Rift." I enjoy it highly and have maxed two characters already, a third on its way. I started, run, and maintain a decent guild of sorts, for the population of the game, and we are growing slowly but surely. Do you play? ;)
What do you enjoy? What are your hobbies? Music, movies? Wanna dish some juicy secrets? Talk about life and love and space and things? I like deep conversations and frivolous things all the same.
I'm bored all the time and lack trained monkeys in tutus, so I make the best of what I can get. :P
Hello! Welcome to Subeta. :3 Congratulations on getting engaged! That's very exciting! Your pets all sound very cute and endearing. :D
Recently I've just been spending all my time on Subeta, haha. :P But I do love to play various board games, MMOs, MOBAs, RPGS, etc. ^u^ I'm always around somewhere if you'd like to talk sometime! Nice to meet you!
Thank you! It is. I'm definitely not cut out for real life event planning, though. Like, we've decided on pizza instead of a cake. -shrug-
My game of choice at the moment is Rift, although I'm anxiously looking forward to Blade & Soul being released. Not sure how I'll fare in that whole open-world-ish PvP, but we'll see...
Nice to meet you, too! :D
Welcome to Subeta! What about Edgar is mentally inept? :P My mum adopted a failed guide dog, and he's pretty dumb it's kind of cute ^__^

Mmmm well I consider a slice of pizza to be about equal to a slice of cake. :P So yummy, either way! Oh I haven't kept up with Blade and Soul's release, is it supposed to be soon?
Oh, yeah, it's definitely adorable sometimes. I don't know, he could also be too smart for his own good. We recently had to take him to the vet due to liver failure. Why? Because he didn't like the food I switched them to, so he stopped eating. He'd fake eat. He'd put the food in his mouth, then spit it out while I wasn't looking. So now we're back to spending $30 on a 5 pound bag of food just to appease the little devil child.
And thank you for the welcome!
Yep, comes out on the... 16th or 19th, I cannot remember exactly. There's a huge playerbase at the moment, so people are expecting high queue times. I will probably ready it the day of launch, but not quite sure how getting into the game itself will work out. Check out their Reddit page, tons of new information on it. I'm glad to report that it seems to NOT be pay-to-win, just pay-to-be-beautiful. Although, I believe all/most items are trade-able from the shop.
And yes, pizza is love, pizza is life.
Haha I love pay-to-be-beautiful games. :D I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the info! Is there a class that you're looking forward to playing?
No problem! Maybe I'll catch you in-game! ;)
Yes, actually. There's this adorable little animal-human-chibi hybrid race that has a race-specific class, the Summoner. It lets you summon adorable little critters tear into your foes. Like... A cat. Which are vicious enough as it is. Muahahaha...
Haha that sounds like a lot of fun! Everyone needs a little cat companion to destroy their enemies. >:3
:3
Really, though. They're adorable. I think the mere appearance of the playable characters in this game is what has me the most excited. I've also heard that the customization is godly.
Aww, the cat's so cute. ^u^ I love when games have lots of customization. I think when I make new characters I always spend at least an hour creating them. :x
Don't feel alone in that! I have created characters simply to delete them and start over and over and over again, just to see what I can create. I used to play Perfect World International a long time ago and would easily spend upwards of two hours or more just trying to create that "perfect" character.
Yes, absolutely. >:3 I did that too back when I played Forsaken World haha. The Perfect World series is so beautiful. :D So do you have a role that you like to play? (Like tank, dmg, etc etc)
Forsaken World was great. It saddened me that the game died so quickly. :( PWE did a great job on their games. I'm bugged it was all so pay-to-win, though.
It depends on the game. On Rift, I'm currently a DoT DPS build, but I have another, a Bard, for small heals and irritating debuffs, heheh. I typically play some type of healer, but it was really hard for me to get into healing, or any mage-esque class really, on Rift, so I went with a DoT-ranged-warrior build this time. I figure Blade & Soul will be different, as well, but we will see when it launches!
What do you typically go for?
I generally main healers and make other ranged dmg dealers (cc ice mages, or archers) :3. I'm pretty terrible at everything melee. DX
Healing is so much fun. Horrible they are always so under-appreciated, though. But at the same time, it's as easy as telling people to can it or they die. Which can be fun all the same. -evil cackle-
Me, too! Melee is difficult to master, in my opinion. All the running around and gettin' all up in people's faces... Bleh. That's why I like the warrior build I have, though. Mages hop around me because they THINK I gotta be all up in their business, but in reality, I just gotta stand around and turn in a circle. Then they run away, but they still die. Fun times. Fun times.
Crowd control is always so much fun. I love the classes that make people angry. It's hilarious watching them in PvP settings, huhuhu.
Haha omg yes, I love trolly builds. ^u^ I used to play Ragnarok online and had a battle priest (which is ironic because it's melee...) and I used to wear holy enchanted armor, and endow their weapons with holy properties. evil cackle They would sit around attacking me wondering why they were missing everything. :3
It sounds like you have a great warrior build and strategy. :D I'd probably be one of those squishy mages that die..
Lmao, blinding them with your holiness!
I had some help with the build. It has a very specific "rotation" of skills you gotta use to be able to deal the most amount of damage possible with it, with specific timing and this and that and everything else. The DoTs will deal a couple thousand a second, with some of them reducing received healing, and then regular attacks are increased by 15% I think it was for each DoT (there's about 8-10) ... It's actually hard to kill people on my own. It's a good class, but you need a good team to excel with it. Although I am a warrior, my defense is pretty horrible in comparison to other builds, so having one of those "pocket healers" are pretty nice, lol.
The mages are evil in Rift. Pure evil. My fiance has a pyro and will burn people to a crisp. They're pretty terrifying.
I think you'd really like Rift, though. You should give it a try sometime. Free to play. Has a very small pay-to-win aspect, but it's not that bad at all. It's all that end-game stuff, really, but most people aren't even there yet. (Just had a new expansion come out.) Not to mention, it's still achievable in-game, just a bit difficult and time-consuming. The customization isn't anything like Perfect World Entertainment games, but it's not bad at all. In-game, you can customize your gear appearance and even dye the clothes. (Which doesn't cost a dime of real life money.)
If you do, though, let me know! You're more than welcome to join the guild I'm in. Bit small, but we're a fun group. Casual-play, social-based, but we are working towards random raiding and the like for kicks.
side note: sorry, I'm a chatter bug :P
Those deadly DoTs. :0 Poison and fire, what a deadly combination. :3
I'll have to give Rift a look! If I do end up playing, I'll be sure to let you know. :D And not to worry about being a chatter bug, I'm the same way! I wonder if we should move out char over to the Chit Chat forum though, we might be bumping this new player forum too much haha. :D
Mmm, yes. We made a joke in the guild about some of us being the Four Horsemen of Telara (the world in Rift.) I being Pestilence, due to my disease and poison, our main tank being War, etc., etc. Making me wanna PvP today, huhuhu.
It's fun stuff! Definitely do, you seem fun and social and you'd fit right in with us! Another great thing - there's these things called "dimensions." You can customize areas to chill and hang out and... whatever. I'm attempting to make a wedding venue and wed people in-game. (Not in real life, though, unless they live in my state. Although I am debating doing that, as it would be costly and time-consuming.)
whoops, possibly. ;P (There's a Chit Chat forum? -n00b.-)
