i don't know if this has been suggested in the past, probably has, but is there any way books read could be treated similarly to how plushie/cards/beanbags/etc. collection are?

i imagine people battling or just leveling up their pet in intelligence would find this to be a HUGE favor, seeing an option of "books NOT read" and being able to search shops specifically for those books, rather than opening up subetalodge and double checking through the book section with books read to buy books a pet hasn't read.

and a mass reading option with a dropdown menu of which pet they would be mass read to would be nice. i can see how this could get dangerous if you want to read different books to different pets, but the option being there rather than clicking EVERY SINGLE BOOK would be awesome. i mean so many other aspects of the site have been streamlined, why not this? i know maybe staff are thinking "why should we make training easier?" - but i think this would be a lot of help and people would really like it c:

Lodge's book list tool is quite handy for this, but something on site would be nice too. I spent a lot of time going through each book on the site and putting them all on my wl awhile ago, and that took forever.

If this is implemented, I'd kind of like to see something similar for food items as well. It's pretty much another collection, and it would make it easier for the people trying for those achievements to add things to their WLs as well.

[edit]Especially because it's not always clear sometimes what items are food.

I like this idea for both books and foods. I use SubetaLodge but every so often I mess up my count somehow, and besides, an onsite feature would be very useful.

Now that I think about it, it would also be nice to have something like this for stickers. Although I still feel like the whole sticker collection should be revamped at some point.

Figuring this stuff out yourself and doing the labor is part of the game of Subeta, to my mind. The only reason the current collectibles are mass-addable is because it's a GA perq to make up for the lost one of the five extra pet slots.

I'd support this if there was an item that generates revenue like an Obsessive Maven Sortbot (for books) or a Licketystick Sortbot (for stickers) that you can buy in the Cash Shop that would give you a week of sorting, recommending and stashing for just one of the collections. This item would act like an upgrade to your GA and would need one active to work. Otherwise, no.

i'd be okay if it was a GA perk. to me that seems like a very fair compromise. cash shop item good for one week, not so much.

and the suggestions for food and/or stickers as well. maybe you would have to choose which one perk you wanted once a month, and buy the others with CSC that way they still make revenue?

Honestly when GAs lost the pet slot perk they basically became kinda, useless. I keep one only because the mobile browser I use doesn't have adblock and I can't be bothered to deal with ads (especially when I'm in the middle of nowhere struggling for a few Gs or mooching off the field offices wifi).

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that was changed because it was hella confusing and everything BUT really the leashing (that a lot of GAs still don't use, hell I haven't changed mine in months.. assuming it's even still there lol) and the plushie/beanbag thing is a perk but it's a perk that y'know.. only kinda has so much merit. You can only put a plushie/beanbag in your collection once.

Books and food though, that has a bit more merit since a fair amount of people read x amount of books to all of their pets and battlers love a cheap book to read to their army of battle pets-- not to mention you can get rid of/restart new pets so it's a feature that'd have more use than something that's ultimately one and done.

I'm definitely in full support of both this idea and it being a GA perk. It could work via all pets, or your active pet and hell I'd love to see this happen even if there wasn't an auto-read/feed option (obviously autofeed wouldn't really work so well unless the food went into a queue and every time the pet got hungry it automatically ate whatever was next-- which would be a fantastic perk in and of itself but that's a horse of another color). Just because having that "hey here's the stuff your missing + shop search/account search links" on the site is way better than having to go offsite, mass add stuff, and spending more time off the site that wants your pageviews/attention than on it.

Bonus points for a mass-read/foodqueue though.

I support this for books, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement for stickers, since they're by default not items you're meant to buy for yourself. Although I could see the hustler charging extra for that kind of thing within his activity as a self-stick-enabler. Foods would be nice, but I'm not sure how well that would work - I imagine the total number of different foods is very much beyond total number of beanbags/plushies/books, so that might make it more of a pain to run?

I do like this idea for books. Currently I just update my subetalodge checklist with books Toh has read.

support this for books and food 100%, GA or CS or just regular site privilege! I'm always afraid I'm missing something from my wishlist, and the feature has helped tremendously for my plushie and beanbag collections since I was missing a few from my wishlist.

Adding in my full support for this to be added as a GA perk. It would definitely be more useful to me than the beanbags and plushies since intelligence points for my pets is a thing I am actually interested in. XD

Yes, please! I'd love be able to sort books and food more easily. GA perk, cash shop item, I don't care, i'd still use it. XD

Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!

I would totally love this feature, I believe in the past it has been mentioned that it doesn't exist for pets because some people feed/read/etc. to more than one pet - but it could be based on Active Pet.

There's also mention on this thread for foods read, any maybe other uses so there would be the small concern of how multi-use items (feed/use/read) might not work ?

Otherwise it would be really awesome n_n;

I agree. We can do it through account search, but I'd like something where I can power through and buy missing books. It's not really an advantage, just more convenient, so I don't see why there would a problem.

Definitely would love to see a books/foods needed listing available, like the plushie/beanbag one. Books would likely be a lot easier since there are so few of them compared to foods.

I fully support the idea of this as well because honestly? It's part of why I don't read many books to my pets. I don't really have the time to make an offsite list of all the books my pet hasn't read and keep it up to date. And if it were a GA perk, it'd definitely make more likely to regularly buy a GA!

Yes to it being a GA perk. I only use GA for auto pricer really, and some extra quests.
