Hi guys, just wanted some help pricing my pieces of art included below:

I've done two paid commissions. One for this background and one of this character.

Usually when they are freebies, I get a lot of takers but now that I'm trying to sell my art I'm not getting any. Is it worth trying to sell my art on Subeta's art market? Should I quit?

To give you an honest answer I think you should take time to grow a bit before selling. Doing freebies isn't going to get you customers. It's just going to get you people who want free art. In my experience 1-5 percent of people who asked for freebies when I had a freebie board open also ended up buying art when I opened a shop. The people who lurk those boards either can't afford to buy art or simply don't want to pay. And unless you really love their characters then your freebies aren't going to look as good as they could because you're not really invested in their characters or concepts. I think you are at a level where you need to draw things YOU love before thinking of selling because the potential is there (especially in the last 2 pieces) but the execution could use a little work. Sorry is any of this is harsh! Obviously do whatever you feel is best, but this is just advice from someone who has been through a similar situation here. I just saw that no one had responded yet and wanted to let you know that you shouldn't quit or give up! You look like you enjoy drawing and just need to nurture that talent :) If you're interested in tutorials I've found that helped me just ping/comment/mail me. I have some good anatomy tutorials, digital coloring tutorials, etc.

Thank you, that's actually very nice of you to say! I do love art, it's one of my hobbies and I want to improve a lot! I'd love if you sent me some links to your tutorials.
And thanks for the advice on the freebies, I actually did another round of freebies, before finding out that you had responded to this post. It was true, it was hard to feel the love for other people's characters.
I think I will practice some more and leave a shop open just in case anyone is interested. Just wanted to find a way to use my talents to make a living on subeta.
