...at least for a bit anyway.
nice to finally be here on lumi, i seem to have missed it my first year and followed suit the next three lol.
i guess i will reintroduce myself, especially since my screen name has changed from hollytronix to . i'm holly, 29 now (gosh i feel old), bisexual, introvert (mostly). i like sci-fi, cosplay, and all things pokemon. i work in education, as well as being in school for my bachelors in biology. i mostly only turn up around holidays or when life permits me enough time to be leisurely online. i'd like to get back to making art and coding profiles like some of my pets have, but i'm not sure i can devote that much time on here. i mostly just quest, occasionally post on forums, anon gift (because its still fun), and chip away at achievements. daunting tasks, i know.
i was part of a mass migration of neopets users to subeta when we started getting chain frozen for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING other than gifting high priced things to less fortunate users. and i have no regrets switching, i like every aspect of subeta much more. A+++ keith and staff c:
i see a lot of stuff has changed since last time i was on here, but it has been pretty easy to to get back into the swing of things. doesn't hurt to have a couple mil in the bank to get things rolling either, right? though i've blown most of it on my HA and lumi gifts already!

Hi Holly, I think I'm in the same boat as you! Did Neopets many many many years ago and all of my accounts are frozen as well. Btw, you're not old at all - I'm 28....only one person in real life knows I logged onto this site, hahahah. What do you cosplay? I cosplay at Otakon every summer :) Currently playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! See? We're still young.

OMG the new mystery dungeon is amazing isn't it? i'm post epilogue trying to get the legends right meow.
its lame that neo froze you. they are pretty much just lame about everything, although i do miss neoquest and habitarium. that was pretty much the only thing i logged in for, and gifting (my habi was making me pretty good money). after my habi was ruined i gave up on them completely and moved over here lol. some of my old neofriends from the gifting boards are pretty successful on here, but i don't really talk to them anymore.
i've mostly only gone to smaller things in california as far as cosplaying. i'm not one for huge crowds lol. but as far as cosplay goes, i have cosplayed:
jack harkness (doctor who/torchwood) vladimir (League of Legends) marshal lee (adventure time) cecil palmer (welcome to nightvale)
you?
I was a former Neopian myself. I used to be big in the roleplaying scene, which is a little embarrassing, but the reason I left is that the filters got so broken I just gave up. :P Your cosplays sound amazing! I've always wanted to cosplay, but I live kind of in the middle of nowhere and don't have any money, so it's a little difficult. Glad you made it in time for Lumi this year! Have a gift or two under your tree. ;) Welcome back!!
Oh nice! I still haven't beaten it, taking my precious time (same with Omega Ruby). I haven't been to West Coast for conventions, but would love to one day :) I hear it's really big over there! I want to go to the NY Comicon someday too. I have cosplayed as: Yuna - Final Fantasy Azula - Avatar the Last Airbender Sasha - Attack on Titan Kairi - Kingdom Hearts Chie Satonaka - Persona Mainly female characters that I can pull off but....I am considering slowing down on the cosplaying : too busy lately.
And yes, Neopets is totally lame now that I look back on it. I played that in middle school - ages ago. (now I feel old haha)

nothing to be embarassed about. i didn't rp on neo, but i have on here in the past. the HA kind of lends itself a little better to me being able to. that and the fact you can actually, like, type without worrying too much about filters.
you could always cosplay and post picture on deviantart! i see a lot of cool pics on there. no need for an actual convention to go to if its really your passion. i am fortunate i live close enough to a few major ones, but i prefer smaller cons, honestly. ones where i can actually like have a conversation with tom felton, john barrowman, jessica nigri, etc. rather than just get something signed and away with me.
and thanks for the gifts! i didnt even realize my tree was completely full until just now. how'd that happen? o_0'
...and i'm the opposite. i love genderbent stuff, so all of mine have been female versions (except marshal lee) of their male counterparts. i would love to do sheik some day, i have so many things i could take that costume to and hyrule warriors made a really nice armored outfit for them.
i wouldn't say i am heavyset, but i definitely am not toned, so i am a little bit limited in options for things unless they hide my shapewear lmao. between that and monies... my cosplaying has kind of slowed down unless its a bit more closet cosplay, like cecil or marshal.
Welcome back, and congrats on your new username c:
