Either I never got an alert to open my stocking or I could not find a link after the glitch happened, but I have not recieved my presents yet.

if you didn't receive any events saying your stockings opened, good! you have nothing to worry about. when presents are all fixed and ready to be opened, there will be a news post with a link to open them.
