forgive me, i haven't played around in the wardrobe for two years D:

i noticed that some backdrops, i.e. the , completely hide the HA when used in conjunction with vanishing cream. then there are other backdrops that leave the HA completely white and cannot cover it. is there another item that can take of this [erase the HA completely], or are only the newer backdrops able to totally hide the HA?

Yes, only the new backdrops cover the whole HA, the older ones still have the "cutout" of the HA base. When they redid the wardrobe they added the feature of layering the HA base behind the background (no need for vanishing cream either) which wasn't possible before and that allowed them to make "full" backgrounds instead of the ones with a blank space for the HA base.
