Just wondering if anyone uses a special drawing tablet to draw custom wears? I've been trying to learn how to do my own on my Mac but I'm having difficulties and I think it's because I'm using a mouse instead of having the actual motions of drawing.

If anyone here draws using an art tablet could you recommend some good ones to learn on? Price doesn't really matter, just thinking of ideas c:

hi!

If you're just starting, I would suggest a Wacom small intuos (wireless is about $80 i think?)

Wired version exists for $50-$60 but I would truly believe that for + $20 you get the conveniency of not having the cord bothering you all the time. I have a wired one and on the long run it hurts my back because i need to get close to my tablet/screen for hours at a time, thus creating a very bad posture.

It's good to start with a small tablet because it develops your ratio/coordination. Small tablets will be approximately a auarter of a page - which means you'll need to adjust the strokes according to what you see on the screen.

I personally own an ituos pro large and whenever I try to draw on my small bamboo it gives me a headache. I can't proportion right because my current tablet is nearly 1:1 to my screen.

If you're really just trying to test it out, there's also cheaper tablets you can find on ebay/amazon (not necessarily wacom) that would do the trick. Or even asking around if someone has a tablet you could try out a bit!

I'm terrible at explaining so if you have any questions, lemme know n_n

I bought my Wacom Bamboo tablet on Amazon for like $90?

It came with an older version of PSE, so it's definitely good practice for people just starting out on a tablet :)

Once you're used to the whole tablet thing and feel it is worth it for you, you can upgrade to an Intuos Pro. It is a lot more pricey than the Bamboo.
