We'll play a practice run here...
We have the color tiles:

And our wonderful little tray
.
So we begin our first guess lets try:

One of these lights appear

That means one of my colors is correct, but in the wrong spot. I shuffle them around. Because one color definitely works, but the other three don't.
I pick the order

The yellow light appears again.

I haven't found the correct spot yet.
I change the order again:

Not the correct order yet. I shuffle again.
The order is now

Finally the light glows blue

The piece in finally in the correct spot. Using this info we'll try to eliminate the other colors.
I place the pieces like this:

If blue is the correct color then a blue light should appear.
No blue light appears.

The blue piece is not our piece. Neither is the red piece.
Now that we know which two colors don't belong. We can use them to eliminate the remaining color.
We place the pieces like this

To see if gray is our color. Four blanks

. It is not.
That means the yellow piece in spot is our color.
This means our set up is like this

Green an purple are our remaining colors, since red, gray, and blue are eliminated.
Rn, you are probably wondering But there are four pieces! How does that work?
All that happens is that one of your colors appears twice.
So now it's back to guessing.
We place the pieces in this order:

Three blue lights appear and one blank.

Our order is not correct.
I try the pattern :

Congrats!!!! You've won!!!!
The point of the game is to guess the correct order in the least amount of rows as possible. The less guesses you use, the more sp you earn.
Warning! The order of the colored lights

does not matter! Only the amount of each color.
means no colors are in the pattern
means you've picked a correct piece color, but the piece is in the wrong place.
means you have a piece with the correct color in the correct spot. All
means you've won.
Great guide, I love this game. :3
Thanks :) Am I missing anything?
great guide!
there are broken image however. specifically https://img.subeta.net/steele/sl6_piece_grey.png. the correct link is gray :)
, ahaha yes, I did that on purpose to demonstrate blank tiles.
ahhh, i see. i thought it was a mistake. my apologies.
my favorite method is to start with all same color for faster elimination.
, It's okay and, ooh, that's clever. I should add that in :)
The easiest way that i find is to start with all disks being the first colour, and then move on to the next colour on the 2nd turn and repeat etc. That way you have all of the colours you need by the 6th turn, though not necessarily in the right order - Like this

Yeah same, I always start with all four disks as the same color and then work my way down. I found it a lot easier than just wildly guessing.
