Wasn't sure if this was considered a forum-related issue or not, so...

I'm getting a MySQL error when I try to update my signature. If it's over 500 characters, I get the "this is too long" error, but if it's under, I get the squirrel. It's been doing this for at least a few days now.

Do you have the courage to ride with the devil?

I'm having the same issue when I try to add an image to my sig. Here's the error message I get:

I thought it was just me when no topic popped up about it. >>; Anyway, I've got SQLs when updating my sig, too. I was able to take everything out and save, then put a single line back in and save that, but the whole of my usual signature throws back an error. I can't quite figure out the trigger for it, be it number of characters past a certain limit, number of lines, or perhaps number of bbcode tags (because, admittedly, my usual sig has several). For the record, this is my usual sig, which simply throws a generic MySQL error:

I was able to change the picture in my signature without any issue, but as soon as I attempted to alter the text it all went to heck...

SQL pls. It's Luminairetime, have mercy!

This is my current signature: I think that clinging to life is what makes people really want to change the world. It's not right or wrong, it's just... faith.

The change I'm trying to make is to take two of the quotes out and replace them with a new one (I'm just too lazy to go find it right now ^^;). So if we're all having problems with our sigs and all using sCode, could the problem be with the sCode?

I seem to have actually found the trigger. Apostrophes. I put one at the end of my current sig to test and the sql is giving me the beady eye for it. :T EDIT: And upon removing apostrophes from my usual text, everything goes through.

Thank you for the current workaround!

I hope staff fixes this though - most of the text I want for my signature contains an apostrophe :(
