What happens if I win? Good question! If a pet gets zapped/found in the pound/adopted from someone that matches one of your requests, and you're the first on the list to have that request, you win! I will s-mail or ping you right away to let you know. You then have 7 days to reply. If you don't reply, you will get dropped from the list, and the pet will go to the next person on the list who wants it. (Though you can re-apply anytime.) As soon as you reply, I send the pet your way! You must ping me or s-mail me directly when you receive a pet, letting me know what you've received, that you wish to have that request removed, and if you want to replace it with anything new.

Can I change my choice of pets? Sure can! Just swing me a s-mail or ping anytime and I'll change your entries.

Can't I just change my entry to whatever I see you currently have then? Look, I would really rather you didn't. It's not really fair to the other people who might want pets just as badly as you. If I catch someone doing this, they will be banned from participating, but I'd rather not have to catch people at all. I'd love to be doing this on another account to keep it impartial, but Subeta's not cool with that, and I want to follow their rules.

What if I don't want the pet anymore when I get the mail? Well, you really should have altered it sooner, since you can do that anytime with no penalty. If you turn down a pet for this reason, I will accept your changes then and drop you to the bottom of the list.

This sounds really cool and I want to help by zapping. First off, awesome, and thank you! Sometimes I'll have spare pets waiting to be zapped, and many hands make for light work. Otherwise, you are always welcome to zap your own (well-named) pets. If you're unsure as to whether a pet meets the name requirements, just ask me and I'll let you know. It's up to you to check the wait-list regularly to look for matches, and to let the waitlistee know when you have something. I simply cannot police each helper individually. This sounds really cool and I want to help by donating pets. I will be accepting any pets with decent names that people don't want anymore, so if you have someone you want to donate to the cause, I'll gladly accept them, the only exception being if my pet slots are full. In that case, let me know anyways and I'll get back you when I have a spare. I'll always try to take every pet that needs a home. Sometimes helpers will have spare slots, so if you need to get rid of your pet right this second, you can always try to contact them.

What if I don't want the pet because I don't like their name/ID/stats/etc.? I'm sorry, but that's not how this works. If you try to say something like this, you'll be banned from participating in future. This is a goodwill venture, and trying to take advantage of it would be very rude.

Can I give you/the helper who got my dream a thank-you present? We appreciate the offer, but pet "trading" and "selling" are against the forum rules. Accepting items in exchange for pets is not allowed! If you wish to contribute your zaps or donate decently named pets to this venture, you are welcome to do that! Keyword is donate. There is no obligation whatsoever to give us a pet, and if you do it must be because you want to help out, not in exchange for the one you got. We are all law-abiding citizens of the forums.

The sanity clause. (Aka the activity check.) Every once in a while, I will ping everyone on the wait-list in a big friendly post. I'll say something like "what's your favorite color". You must reply to these posts, or be dropped from the wait-list. (Though, of course, you are free to re-apply at anytime.) In addition, to make it slightly less annoying, everyone who does reply will be entered in a raffle to win something. What? It will probably be different every time! I'll try to dig up things that are cool without being super valuable.
