"You aren't on a quest"

I'm sorry if this is already known - I couldn't see anything about it.
I was on a wizard quest, got hte items then clicked finished. An error appeared that said I was not on a quest and gave me the option to go back. When I clicked this, the wizard was still asking for the same items. Clicking finish again just repeated the problem.
The items have been taken from my inventory however.
This can happen if you accidentally double click, or if there's massive lag.
Usually you've actually completed the quest and received your reward but you don't get notified. For me, doing a forced reload of the page (ctrl+F5) fixes the problem and allows me to continue questing.

The above is correct and since we have been having lag tonight, I am pretty sure that is why you got it. I even got it a few times. But it should have completed the quest and given you the reward.

I get this a lot. Usually what I do is click the quest widget and it'll take me a new quest. Next time I'll do the forced reload and see if that saves me a step. What really sets my teeth on edge though is when I do get back to the quest and it's still asking for the same items. I check my inventory and sure enough they're not there. Growl a bit then go buy them again. Give them, and move on. Next time I check my inventory those 2 or so items are sitting right there. I really don't like that, but it has to be part of the lag problem. Not much I can do about it.
