I totally dig indie pop more than any music I find. But Im having trouble finding really consistent people that I like.

Hmmm. I would say for similar female vocal there's Lorde, Lykke Li, Charlie XCX. I also love Alex Winston but it's an acquired taste. There's also CHRVCHES, St. Lucia, and MS MR who are more poppy bands. I would also listen to Vampire Weekend's "Contra" album, because that's what really got me into indie.

I'm also a huge fan of CHVRCHES and Purity Ring, but are definitely hit or miss for a lot of people!

OH MAN HERE WE GOOOOOOO holychild holychild holychild i love them so much its wild def reccomend san cisco are so good (especially live omfg they blew me away) wild party are really upbeat and wonderful, such jams SUCH JAMS human heat is incredibly underground like literally nobody knows them and pretty electric but you might like them, idk i love them, especially fever and all night. they only have four songs on spotify but he's releasing one minute weeklies on soundcloud

honestly i live in the new releases tab on spotify... i just play random albums when the cover art catches my eye and i sometimes find some really amazing stuff (that's how i found halsey tbh)

What I do to find similar artists in a genre is look up playlists that include my favorites on 8tracks.

i think one of the best ways to find new music is to use streaming services that pair you with new music!

pandora is definitely a good one, you make a "radio station" based on an artist and they play similar music on that station. they often have less popular songs too which is cool.

8tracks is neat because people make playlists themselves and you can search by mood, genre, or artist.

and spotify has a feature called 'discover weekly' where they show you new music similar to what you like once a week!

Ok another late post but I've also been super into BANKS lately. I'd say she's kind of like Lana but more R&B, and she's opened for The Weeknd before. I luv her a lot and also second/third a lot of the recs in this thread wow some of y'all have such good music taste
